He's shitposting, most of the build variety comes from gear and champion point allocation, as most specs or weapons have a most "efficient" skill setup as determined by the community.

not really. DPS there's only one viable rotation per class per stamina or magicka build. for instance, if you are a magicka templar, you are the same as other magicka templar outside of gear choices. There's really only one way to play each archetype successfully. So lets say 10 different builds are viable at any given point

If you were looking for a game that had actual uniqueness to character classes beyond palette swapped spam or aoe abilities ESO is not it.

Stamina classes generally rely on the same set of abilities and use the same tactics at end game because they all use abilities that are available to everyone. Stamina classes are so stale its unbelievable.

Other than that, if you play a magicka class, your skills will be dictated by the role that you choose either healer or dps. Most and when i say most, like 90%, of all builds will use identical skills and morphs because those are the only ones that work for that given archetype. There's no real build variety beyond stat sticking with gear

I hope they just mean the particle effects. I don't want to have to recast aoes because the tank can't see where the boss needs to be or vice versa.

Say I'm trying to play 2H on my tank DK for solo questing but I'm only doing around 3000 dps. Should I get the medium armor passives or am I better off playing magicka ?

I am new at vma. mobs burst my shield too fast. My jabs hit 5-7k. But i keep dying. Should i level muh sorc or should i keep wasting time on muh templar.

Do you have any points in any of the first passives of the equipment crafting skill lines? Those also determine what resources you find.

the last one i can understand, but why give someone the chance to block a proc? just make it so all damage procs occur over time, so people still have a moment to put of a shield or heal part of the damage away. god forbid we give stam players a viable way to kill magicka classes with their shields and range damage.

At the very end game you may regret it, if you're really struggling. However you should be fine.

I've seen khajiit healers and altmer stamina tanks do vet content. It matters if you want to get the most out of your build, but otherwise no. skill>stats unless you have really really shit stats

Alright cool. But I'm looking at class skills right now and almost everything is Magicka based, so do Stamina based characters focus on weapon skills?

Look at the morphs. There are some skill that have stamina morphs once you level them up enough. For example, DK gets burning ember and fire breath get stamina morphs that makes them poison skills. Also, stamina classes will use magicka based skills for their buffs. Again with DK, a stam DK will use green dragon blood not just for the self heal, but the buff to their own healing, health regen, and stamina regen. They also use hardened armor for the extra resists.

You know it baby. Stamina Sorcs, which sounds weird, and incredibly strong this patch, stamina DK's are great (their rotation is harder, but their abilities can debuff enemies and buff the group, so they can do a lot for a group), stamblades have always been glass cannon single target DPS machines, stamina wardens are pretty good from what I hear, and stamplars are...stamplars.

Magicka sorcs are incredibly powerful (probably due for a nerf, if most of the devs didn't play magsorcs), magdk's are all fire all the time (harder time with sustain, but o a lot of damage), magblades are incredibly versatile (may not do as much damage as a magsorc, but they provide a fuck ton of utility for the group, including marking enemies for more damage, can do damage and heal with the same AoE to help out the healer, etc.), magplars are great healers and fantastic executioners with jesus beam, and magwardens are in a decent place, but will probably be receiving a damage buff.

I spent a fat stack of coin on a sharpened staff last week. At least the precise staff I already had will look better now.

Depending on how the numbers work out, both will be viable. It looks like sharpened will still be the best for pvp, but precise with the lover mundus stone (penetration) and gear with crit on it (which got a 55% buff to make up for losing the thief) will be similar numbers in pve. At least this will give options rather than "oh, that weapon isn't sharpened, toss it".
