If you start it via luma's integrated homebrew launcher instead of the .cia one, most payloads will break and stuff like hans that needs to select a title will be hidden because guess what, trannies want you to use THEIR replacement instead

I like all of the GBA games.
They're more casualized compared to the SNES games though, so you should really be playing those if you want more challenge. If you just want to sit back and play some fire emblem, I really don't think you could go wrong with any of em.

For example, what CFW is it running, and on what version? Does it use a9lh or b9s? These are things that you should know
