Both servers are renewal though so it has nothing to do with that.
It's always the same shit, new servers get hyped and enjoy big numbers for a short period of time then but then it all plummets down. Shit servers that got extremely lucky and managed to increase population via mexican voodoo, still stagnate and eventually lose players. This is especially true on poorly managed servers such as nobba, where the staff doesn't pay any attention to balance and doesn't try to see into the future, only caring about filling their pockets. People find themselves with nothing to do, so they just idle and chat for some time but eventually quit, which is what's happening on nobba right now and why the merchant population continues to rise so the numbers don't fall.
