I regret picking Nightmare more and more for each additional hour I play this game.

You shouldn't have listened to that user. Sky wasn't originally made with difficulty settings, so it's not actually balanced out for that. Only starting from Zero is nightmare actually fun since it's not complete bullshit, and you can do it if you're prepared enough.

I never really pick nightmare for the Sky games because of how limited your options are compared to Ao or CS (but in CS' case, the game is a fucking cakewalk).

Falcom's idea of higher difficulty only works in their action games.

Hard in TT and FC isn't bad, but in SC it is dumb. I will not do Nightmare just because it isn't balanced at all for the first 2 games.

Maybe for TT if I play it again and try to break the game.

If I didn't already sink 30 hours into this game (and beat the fishing sidequest at that), I'd start over and play it on a lower difficulty.

Nightmare keeps flipping between challenging and cancerous over and over again with no decent median and it really bothers me. I doubt I'll even bother with the last level of the arena at this rate.

I personally found hard to be manageable on the 3rd, but i didn't play on nightmare to know how much worse it is.
The save slot is number 79.

Nightmare is basically cast Earth Wall/Gaia Shield or die. Cassius just barely misses one shotting Richard with a Water Gem and he has about 23k hp.

He is annoying as fuck more than hard. And I can't fucking stand annoying fights that drag on.

You can play on nightmare by carrying over data, so it won't be as annoying.

Nightmare is balanced around carry over. Doing it fresh is like pulling teeth because literally everything can one or two shot you. I think the only boss that didn't mess me up was the Spear of Loa bait guy and the spiders.

I fear that I might actually be underlevelled or something. Morgan wasn't too bad since I beat him by abusing Dark Matter EX but I don't think this will work here.

It's not really balanced at all. It was just added on the PSP versions with inflated stats, with no regards for balance. It's way easier with carry over obviously.

Hell, the PSP version of the 3rd made the boss of the silver road incredibly ridiculous. One of it's moves hits you 4-5 freaking times, and each hit counts as two.

Just use the team i was using. You're not going to miss out on much dialogue. Plus Joshua has his broken swords which i dropped from the werewolfs in the forest. Or just level them up a bit.

I absolutely had to beat him on Nightmare before moving to another save file. It was incredibly tedious and drawn out especially when he uses Qilingong and one shots literally everyone but it was doable.

She was my second favorite NPC behind the twins

TX's student NPCs are fucking boring despite being a literal modern day highschool. There isn't even a single romance.
