There's areas in which I can see that, but I'll probably come back here to post my opinion of which was the best between 3, 4 and 5 thematically.

You know, I'm playing P4G for the first time after playing Persona 5. I've already played P4 Vanilla before and yet I think I'm enjoying myself more than I did playing P5.

I'd say out of the three P4's cast felt the most like friends who'd grow old together while the other two have strong bonds but will go their own ways.

That didn't happen for me. While I like the way the characters played off each other, I actually hated most of the IT except for Naoto and Kanji.

You can call another player's party to bail you out of a hostage situation
you can call them to stop an enemy from fleeing (which rarely happens)

That's it. It seems like they planned more for this but deadlines or something must have hit them

I know we've had this discussion so many times, but 5 really lacks in that regard. Golden is a rerelease though, so maybe if Crimson ever actually happens they'll improve on the character moments

The Investigation Team were true friends who hung out and did stuff.
SEES, at least initially was just a group of people who lived together and had a common mission. Their mission was the most important aspect of their relationship and most wouldn't have become friends otherwise.
While you can say the same about the IT, you actually see them liking one another and hanging out.
Even in Vanilla P4 their friendship is apparent.

I hope so too, Mementos conversations were fun so that sort of thing being expanded on would be awesome especially for characters like Haru that got severely shafted.

Hilariously that's why I was more impressed with how SEES managed to bond since they didn't start out great and got to know each other mostly independent of the protagonist. It's part of why I dislike party S.Links.

I'm sure Ryuji and Ann would stay in touch, Yusuke and Sojiro/Futaba (should she start working at the cafe) would stay in touch because of the painting, but outside of that I think the only way Joker would stay in touch with someone is if he's dating them. Japan might be easy to travel around but it doesn't really matter. If someone isn't in your immediate area and you aren't incredibly close to them, you're less inclined to see them.

I love SEES and bonded with them cause of the hardships we went through. But I don't think after the hardships we'd stick around together. I think we'd go our own way.

Fuuka rejects a scholarship to an out-of-country college to stay with her friends. Ken is still with Koromaru. Just look at Mitsuru's ending in Ultimax and you'll see how close they still are

They already made her a flower girl once user. Each persona game has a goddess. Even if she isn't a bad guy it's almost outlandish that no megami is around. Even the small mention that Izanami gets is repeated with Sophia. And Sophia is very important within Jungian Psychology.

I will admit that within the Persona setting we already have a sort of Sophia anyway.

Maybe we'll actually see her in the next spin-off, I seriously doubt there isn't some other figure running around.
