I've been playing in jp since kintoki's release and don't have waver (I did get merlin though). I know you don't need to roll him to beat content.
Considering there are a few 5* in the gacha pool making the odds of getting waver higher and all the free release quartz it would be foolish to not reroll for waver if you want to make the game less tedious for yourself.
If you don't care about that then pick with your dick and get who you like
I wouldn't say it is esports shit but that the game can be very tedious and reducing it makes things better. Even using a friend waver is enough to cut down farming time.
Every month they refresh the shop(tickets, Fous, exp) also later they add exclusive CE that needs 5k MP to get all the copies(these update every 3 or 4 months).
