The whole point of the original meta level in demon's souls was that 120s hit all the soft caps and stood a good chance against overleveled characters. If you feel that beating characters only 20 levels higher is too hard that's a good sign the level you're stopping at is retardely low.

Demon's Souls didn't only have 6 stats. Demon's Souls had equipment weight limits. Demon's Souls had Inventory weight limits. Demon's Souls had stricter stamina management. Demon's Souls PvP assumed everyone would be using Second Chance. Demon's Souls PvP meta was also based around magic or faith weapon buffs for almost every build.

I could go on, but I have already made my point. The meta in DeS had a reason for being what it was. Saying the meta should be "X" because it was in the previous game is just plain stupid, period.
