I don't even have a second to respond as I feel myself pulled apart then re-assembled in another location. Two hours was too long, they had time to prepare. I can't even see from the blinding flash before I feel electricity shooting up my body from all sides. The Institute was ready, and they had shock batons. I don't last long, a man blinded and not used to teleporting wouldn't no matter who he was.
When I wake up, i'm surrounded by Synths, all with weapons drawn and pointed. I have no idea where mine are, just that they aren't on me. Suddenly a voice booms from a speaker.
"And you must be this Pinch Piper was talking about. We've wanted to meet the man responsible for Kellogg's death." The voice says, reverberating around the room.
Before he could speak again, I bark out "Where's Piper! If you hurt her I swear to god!" My sides and front are lit up with shock baton blows, causing me to slide low in my chair.
"Enough. Miss Wright is fine, but she will be staying with us for a while. You, on the other hand will be taking up where Kellogg left off, being our hands in the Commonwealth. If you refuse, you and Miss Wright will both die."
I snarl, looking about the Synths surrounding me, trying to think of any way, any scenario where I can kill all of them and get her back. "I'd need two things then." I say, trying to compose myself in the chair, sitting up straight. "I need proof Piper is alive and well, and if I you want me to do this dirty work and live to do more, do you have any fancy tech that can help fix my eye. Piper was more then my benefactor, she was my extra set of eyes."
The voice was silent before the room reverberated in a long, loud laugh. I bit my lip, trying to hold in my anger. The laughter stopped, the room filling with the voice. "I guess even a dog wants food. Fine dog, we will do these things. But from now on you'd do best to learn your place."
