Nope just not a cuck like you

Post what you drive nerd

youtube.com/watch?v=QUWmuEalsos

>using cuck unironically

Yep, busrider

...

>being so poor you can only afford one car

what is with brazilians and tuning vw

The only God machine of fwd

OUTTA MY WAY GERMAN FUCKING SHIT

What's the point of making a fwd fast? If you're gonna spend extra money, you may as well have started with a rwd.

*wins against rwd and awd on tarmac*

is it me or is this the perfect small hatch shape?

...

...

frogs know how to make hatches

When I had my last fwd car, I kept thinking this. Got rid of it and got back into a rwd daily driver. Feel much better spending money on something with more ultimate potential for fun.

ummmm excuse you

>tfw American and will never know a frog hatch
a-are they that good? People say they're miles ahead of same-gen civics and golfs in handling but for real?

all the good ones can be legally imported to the us

>americans will never know this joy

have driven megane rs, its phenomenal, and not that bad in reliability too as far i know.
dude said its running on regular maintaining for 3 years

is there a hotter hatch?
(no)

i mean, fuck, its little mean touge bomber
corners like nothing
golf gti is shit compared to it, just personal opinion.

Yes, and you can import the earlier ones already. Essentially:

>80's
Peugeot 205 GTi - THE godmachine
Peugeot 309 GTi (slightly heavier 205 essentially)

>90's
Renault Clio MK1 16V/Williams (a very close second to the 205 imo)
Peugeot 106 GTi
Citroen Saxo VTS (it's a 106 with longer gearing)

>00's
Renault Clio RS is about the only one that didn't drop the godtier handling

Fuck I forgot the 306 GTi

the Clio 197 and 200 (NA) handle even better, but feel a little more on the "mature" side

I was talking about both MK2 and MK3 when I mentioned the RS

>TFW the current clio RS only comes with the shitty dual clutch
What were they thinking...

The GodMachine with 10k Rpm sequential gearbox. Holy mother of trinity.

Well the newest one, the refresh, comes with a manual too

going for the gti market unfortunately

my bad

I suppose this should be pretty good. Even more reliable than RWD Ladas.

As a VW owner myself videos of this car still make my heart go faster and brings back great childhood memories of going to watch those cars.|

A E S F U C K I N G T H E T I C

That POS doesn't have the torque to be good at rallying

that's why you buy an FSM package

youtu.be/oLHsCJvf_l4

>he needs to buy a performance package to be rallyable

Since this is now a freg thread, does the 208 gti live up to its predecessors?

Only the "By Peugeot Sport" version

Forgetting the ek9 hatch

They build them and there's even a separate branch of VW stationed there

Mate of mine had to scrap his 106 GTi and bought a pre-facelift Clio RS 172 with the Cup chassis and full sticker package to replace it. That thing is incredibly fun to throw around corners.
Everything in the interior felt cheap but who cares when you've got that engine and especially that chassis?

It's a return to form for the GTi badge.

Any 90s Honda

/thread

This, the difference between the regular GTi and the byPS is like night and day.

>That torsen
>That suspension
>That front camber
>Them Bimbos™
>Them wheel arches
>Them rims

Fucking lovely

why?
french fag?

The true godmachine.

*triggers soybois*

Thats way worse than rwd ladas. Less reliable and way way less fun

Still (one of) the most powerful road / production FWD cars I think, not to mention coolest and best looking

>sebastien loeb
>in a 306 maxi
>in 2017

has time decided to become totally fucked up in the most awesome of ways?

They made an engine for our market that is basically what the LS is for the us. Cheap power, takes in tons of turbo pressure, and is so small you can pretty much swap it into anything

It's basically our LS.

...

Had one of these for a while. Fellow brits can say what they like about Rover, but the ZR is a great looking hatchback with a great chassis. Especially impressive considering the car it comes from is driven almost exclusively by old people.

80's and 90's Peugeots are god-tier, sadly here in my cunt the aftermarket is fucking shit for French cars.

Low-key
I fucking hate the modern GTi and R golfs, but I think the wagon looks great
Any way to get AWD on that bitch?

Do they sell this where you live?

autoevolution.com/cars/volkswagen-golf-r-variant-2015.html#aeng_volkswagen-golf-r-variant-2015-20-tsi-4motion-6at-300-hp

>Not picking the 106 Rallye version, which is albout 100kg lighter

I wish the styling wasn't so bloody garish. It's a decent car but I loved Type R's when they looked like a normie car but drove like a go-kart on steroids.

I love rabbits :3

Unfortunately nope
I could try making one, assuming the chassis is the same

>tfw Golf mk2s weren't really sold in Australia
>only the cabriolets
>imported golf mk2s go for like, $10k
JUST

Nah, I think they officially brought about 150 units over in the early 90's. They were all Japanese spec 4 door GTI's. I feel pretty lucky to have one in decent condition.

>meanwhile in my shithole they go for few hundreds dollars

Truly a shitbox;

>be french
>dont sell cars in America
Pourquoi

A non GTI-GTD is a piece of shit, you don't want those I can assure you.

Except you are wrong. This is more simplier than RWD Lada plus no one wants to steal it. You can leave doors unlocked and you have to try hard to get someone to steal it.
>way way less fun
Assuming you would be driving that recklessly in the former USSR and modern day and age. Why would you want to ruin a classic? Disgusting.
>

Volkswagen AWD is all cuck tier shit because the reserve the real AWD for Audi. Now Audi is shit for other reasons.

My 106 and my friends GTI

I'd still wager that the 106's are better handling than the clios, but don't have the speed without fettling

(Side note was your friend called Rob and from mid Wales?)

Davide Cironi agrees

I see the 306 Maxi, but no mention of the Xsara Maxi

The last 2WD car to outright win WRC events

>Not being so fast you get the classification banned
>Not making 4WD WRC drivers salty by beating them on almost all tarmac stages

You might have to swap floor pans, which would suck.
And then there's the headache of making the electronics work as it's a modern car and everything's locked the fuck down.

If you want a VW wagon with proper AWD, the most modern option is a B5 Passat 4Motion. Those things were built on an Audi platform and used Audi drivetrains.

Haldex is haldex
You can program it to do whatever you want to and the golf's is programmed to dump power to the rear every time you punch it
There are even kits to have it 50/50 most of the time

why were those WRC 2l cars called "kit cars"?
Was there a conversion kit sold by the manufacturer to turn a off the lot car into a rally car?

Can newer versions do more than 50/50, like say, 25/75?

>tfw mk2 golf was my first car
Why did I sell it?

>two days in
>STILL no Fiat Coupe

Are you guys even trying?

You can tune it however
Haldex is a clutch diff, so 100% of power can be sent to any wheel
Main disadvantage being that if it slips you're straining it
Torsen for dirt/skids, haldex for economy

Yes, you could order them from dealers iirc

I want that to sink in

incredibly under rated. My first car was a base 2.0 focus. Was not prepared for what a fucking rocket ship the ST is. plus turbo wooosh

I'd driven a 2014 Mustang GT with an autobox around the same. the ST, with a manual ofc, felt faster.

youtube.com/watch?v=bI0bCX13L9A

Brazilians love vw in general

...

I must not know how to drive mine then... It is nothing compared to my 04 Sti. It isn't even interesting. It just isn't loud and doesn't leak oil and will get me to work.

Is there anything more worth around 20k than a FiST? I don’t really have any practicality demands but I don’t want a project car either.

I’ve driven:
FoST
Frs
Mustang v6 & 8
370z
GTI
500 Abarth
NC Miata
Spyder Abarth
Some other shit that was exceptionally underwhelming

All the S2Ks I’ve found have been beaten to shit, and I have 0 interest in a WRX. The FiST was fun and I enjoyed how well it handles, but just seems like a safe choice.

It's fucking ugly
It's it's too fucking big

>tfw on 106 rallye is for sale her but the fucker wants 3k for it

i like the r56 cooper s

Why does it have a wheelie bar?
I thought the whole point of fwd dragracing was that the back of the car acted as a wheelie bar

Because the car jumps on launch.

NISSAN Juke Nismo RS

Objection
Why would it jump?
Front wheel drive cars lift the front, they don't squat
Your honor! I think we can all agree now that the defendant...
Is rear wheel drive!

>Front wheel drive cars lift the front

Exactly.
