Shine borders usefulness but only just. She has a dark imperil to benefit certain units (Elza, Orlandeau or Reberta with a dark weapon) and an attack that's not completely worthless as a finisher (effective 420% modifier).

If you're willing to reroll properly, you want to get a 5* base chainer, the most key piece for a power team. The current list is:
Orlandeau, Fryevia, Reberta, Aileen, Tidus, and Fohlen (note that Fohlen is generally considered a cut below due to requiring a turn of setup time, but the gulf between non-chainers and chainers is vast)

You should really reconsider, if the Nier units is your goal then learning to do this process will allow you to guarantee yourself 2B, 9S and the rest. You are gonna have a bad time more likely than not if you do not overcome this challenge.

Just gather lapis and tickets as best you can. Getting 9S (and 21O but who wants her) won't be too difficult.

user, just go to settings from your android, apps, scroll down to FFEXVIUS, and clear all data from there. Then start it up and roll. If bad roll, clear data again and try again.

If I start over with the free roll and some tickets, I will do that hundreds of times (if I *really* want to, I am exaggerating and ignoring luck to prove my point) until I get a perfect result.
In reality, I got a near-perfect result on my 2nd or 3rd reroll and kept it, and everyone is giving me shit right now because I have all the important things covered. Trust me, you can do better by learning the system than you possibly can by throwing money at it unless you wanna spend like a grand, by which time you get guaranteed results from brute-forcing it.
But this isn't Fire Emblem Heroes, where 100$ can brute-force it.

There's 6 different ways. BE has the friendliest rerolls out of any mobage. I'll list the best two

1. The normal reroll for any mobage - Download the game. Play until you do all your starting rolls or to get what you want. If you don't, clear cache and download date, let it reupdate and your done.

2. The lazy BE way - bind one shitty account to a Facebook you'll never use and just log in to it to erease your new accounts you make

The first version is more time consuming but is the mobage standard for rerolling.

This is the new account that I got from rerolling less than a month ago's best team. This account has 6 5* base units, which is how rare 2b will be during Nier. Only two of those were guaranteed: one from the reroll ingredients process, then one from an event going on right now. This account is already a couple weight classes above the account I spent 100$ on and then discarded.
I have the best of every kind of unit in the game (arguably, there's one unit that has side grades to it and one unit that doesn't slam with the best), and these guys will continue to be dominant for at least another 6 months to a year. Contrast this with the account where I threw money at it and got nothing. You need to listen to anons here and learn the ropes or you *will* have a bad time.
My results were this good because I took a calculated opportunity at the perfect time, you will not do as well as I did, but you can guarantee yourself a 2b at minimum.
