that's even the reason why back to the future said above 88MPH you'll see some serious shit.
No, it was fantastic.
Materials aside, the overall design of it is better than any modern car's interior. It doesn't have that "fat" look, it's not overloaded with gadgets and gizmos, and you could actually get a color scheme that wasn't black on black. It's not perfect, but with a few tweaks and nicer plastics it would have sold better. Same goes for most all DaimlerChrysler's interiors at the time.
