the games until 5 were designed for the PC-98 platform, which would require an emulator. It's recommended you start either with the sixth (first Windows game) or the second game (as the first one isn't a bullet hell) and work your way up from there
some games aren't your usual bullet hells but should be played anyway
1: Arkanoid
7.5, 10.5, 12.3, 13.5, 14.5: Fighting games
The others follow the basics of the bullet hell genre but usually add a game play twist.

Next time join them, make a LOT of lovers/fuggers and attempt a coup later in game. I usually get steamrolled by alliances if I start as a leader. Start as an officer, this is a perfect oppurtunity to have some liberation from all the pride.

Why does the SDM get steamrolled by its neighbours everytime? I thought they had a higher number of skilled officers.

They were actually doing decently well early game. They were just unfortunately close to the tentacle faction when it popped up. Something about these late game factions causes the default factions to just roll over and die, it's hard to say if that's intentional or just because the bonus factions have an absurd advantage in shitting out a ton of units out of nowhere and are designed to be incredibly expansive and aggressive.

This is the reason why I exterminate minor factions on SPOT with all of the units when I (rarely) play them enabled.

That's the issue. I've completely wiped out the Bandit faction. They shouldn't technically be able to do shit right now, but they just stole one of my best officers so fuck that I guess.
