Does the independent musketeer change her trinkets too to account for the changes made to the class?
Jason Morris
Bretty gud Shambler fight. MaA was the only only one shuffled to the back so he's back in order on the first turn. Based Leper keeps tearing apart the tentacles while blight, bleed and ripostes killed the Shambler on its own turns.
Isaiah Allen
forgot pic, reminded myself
Hudson Lewis
I made the Blood Countess and Raven Fiend/Witch skins. The first one is rather rough as it was my first mod ever and the second is me testing how much I can mod things with basic assets since the Abomination model isnt very complex animation wise.
>A side note, do you have Spine?
No I don't. I just have to make do with skeleton limitations. You can go around this anyway since the attack animations are all static pictures, so you can have the Highwayman's Open Vein "animation" skeleton and replace it with him doing a roundhouse kick provided the new picture doesnt go out of bounds/frame.
William Collins
When and how should I try the shambler?
Dylan Rivera
Any artist here willing of making this darkest dungeon related?
Nolan Garcia
>70% to hit >3 misses in a row >the enemy crits
Dazed, reeling, about to break...
Levi Martinez
Go for an apprentice Shambler with level 2 heroes that have upgraded armor and weapons and skills. If you find the red orb, wait until after you've completed the quest you're on, and if you're in good shape health and stress-wise go back for it. It helps to have heroes who can hit the 3-4 spot, but you've also got to deal with his spawns in 1-2, because they can hit pretty hard as well. Bandages and antivenoms are useful, because he can deal bleeds and blights across your team. Pre-shuffle your party, because you'll get shuffled first round when you place the torch, if you get lucky some of your team will be back in their right spots. If things start going south you can always run. Remind yourself.
Grayson Bennett
Also had a splendid champ Hag run. Hellion didn't even finish cooking before the Hag bled out.
Levi Williams
So I just beat the first darkest dungeon, does it make any sense to take the same team to the second? It says it will be stressful to them, or something like that, so I'm not sure if it will be too much to handle. But I don't really feel like grinding a seperate party for each dungeon, that's just tedious.
Gavin Reed
How many dungeons are there? Still clearing up the champion bosses
Parker Adams
I don't know, I only have one avaible at a time.
Eli Barnes
>Plague Doctor gets "Soft" quirk
How soft are we talking here?
Benjamin Thompson
They'll get 80 stress at the start of the mission, I think.
Jeremiah Edwards
Oh, that would make it really hard to get to the end without a heart attack. Maybe I should just level up some other heroes.
Brody Turner
Is there any good reason to equip an occultist with Junia's head or is it kinda redundant?
Ryder Adams
It has to be the Ancestor or madman.
Mason Baker
Do you have a favourite party? What's your setup?
Nathan Reed
I run Occ/Gr/Abom/Hel for fun sometimes. With fem skins.
Jose Parker
Any good and not overpowered class mods?
Cameron Sanchez
Alright. Brigand 16 pounder. How about
Vestal/Arb/Hellion/Hellion?
After a previously failed attempt I've done some thinking and found that it's not reliable to kill all the bandits before hitting the Pounder. I'll just focus the shit out of the Matchman with Arb and the two hellions who should be well enough capable of hitting him. Right? And ignoring the others and just healing away the damage. Should I take something else instead of the second Hellion? Am I forgetting to remind myself here? Is my plan ok?
Charles Bell
Are there any >le pro players in DD? Someone like Beagle from XCOM?
I'd like to learn some tips and tricks while watching plays.
Matthew Morales
>le pro players of an offline rng game
Lincoln Carter
Could replace one of the Hellions with a Leper for harder hits. Other than that you seem fine, but remember to keep someone with ranged attacks as a safety net in case the arb fails to kill the bastard.
Vest/Arb/Hell/Lep
Ayden Lewis
MaA and HwM both running riposte would help. Vestal is always a solid pick. I guess the fourth would be bounty hunter to mark and destroy the matchman that the vestal off stuns.
This build probably sucks against him.
Levi Long
What are the BEST comps for the different areas?
Heres mine atleast >Weald Arb, Occ, HM, BH >Cove Jester. Occ, Abb, Abb >Ruins Shiiiiit, I don't know, suggestions? >Warrens Also don't know, this is part of why I'm creating this discussion >Courtyard Haven't even played it yet, suggestions? >DD Depends on which one...
David Brown
>Could replace one of the Hellions with a Leper for harder hits. >miss >miss >miss Also, what is your reasoning for putting hellion in the 2nd spot, basically deleting her Iron Swan ability that's extremely good on that specific encounter?
Isaiah Ortiz
I just gave you an example with XCOM, your argument is invalid
Jordan Kelly
I didn't make a single argument. I got stressed.
Angel Walker
Learn the tips and tricks by playing and learning the game. Youll be ruining a lot of satisfying gameplay for yourself watching "pros". Just ask here if something isnt clicking.
Luke Garcia
Are level 3 heroes good enough to start the DLC or should i wait until i have champions?
Jace Morgan
I don't think you're able to bring level 3 heroes into opening CC mission, unless you're playing on Radiant.
Isaiah Jackson
Eh, I've only had a Leper go on a miss streak once. He hits hard enough that I don't mind the "risk" especially when I have the quirks and trinkets to support him. But take that as you will.
>Also, what is your reasoning for putting hellion in the 2nd spot, basically deleting her Iron Swan ability that's extremely good on that specific encounter? I always forget about Iron Swan since I never have much use for it. Putting her in the first row would work better then if you choose to use that obviously.
I would consider replacing the Arb with a Hwm like suggested. The MaA would be a good call too for the speed/acc buff.
Daniel Fisher
We've got someone working on one right now, and the independent musketeer in OP might be alright if ever gets an answer
Jonathan Rivera
>Never have much use for iron swan
You're doing something ridiculously wrong, or playing with corpses off
Thomas Garcia
Didn't think about that. I started a new playthrough and everywhere i read the DLC quest shouldn't be started right away.
Jason Foster
Gonna need this skin.
Luis Campbell
I really feel like the Arb has more consistent damage for rank 3 and 4 which I think the matchman is more prone to be sitting in. Riposte is definitely not the way to go in this fight either.
Jayden Lewis
Anyway, opening CC mission is not exactly easy, so bring level 2 heroes with all upgrades.
Oliver Reyes
So in the full roster, how many vestals and occs do you have each?
And how viable is the run without them (if its not short run)?
Easton Lee
I just beat the shuffeling horror, whew. I noticed I can't use those heroes again though which sucks, but I was awarded with four hero slots instead. If I were dismiss those old heroes, will the extra slots be gone?
Owen Foster
>You're doing something ridiculously wrong, or playing with corpses off I didn't even know you could turn corpses off. It's only wrong if it doesn't work, I guess? Idk what to tell you.
My opinion is to start it around Week 40 when you've gathered some decent trinks and leveled a few different teams. Important to have stress healers.
That's fair, and yea riposte is a horrible idea.
I think I have 2 fully leveled Vests, and like 3 or 4 Occs. I'd prefer to have more Vests, but I don't pick up new adventurers unless they're rank 4 and my luck has been rotten.
Adam Ramirez
>or playing with corpses off >tfw it's real what the fuck
Dylan Myers
Guys I need help with the Viscount. I'm working on my 3rd attempt.
Is the idea to just kill the bags and then burst him down? His damage can be crazy...
Grayson Cox
>Ruins Something to heal through traps and damage unholy. Honestly the vanilla Vest, PD, HwM, Crus works very well imho, except for champion where you have to dispatch the standard bearer quickly. Even then it's functionnal enough
>Courtyard. Something that can hit the back row hard and quickly, and something that can withstand many encounters. My favourite is Vest, GR, HwM, MaA which is a solid comp overall I find, with excellent versatility accross the rows, good dps and good survivability. Works well against shambler too.
David Wright
>Tfw there are actually casuls in this thread that play without any of those options.
Elijah Wilson
...
Adam Long
Honestly I fucking HATE HwM, it always feels like he rolls the lowest possible damage, even misses, never dodges when I need it... Is my HwM cursed? Do other people really find any success with that FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!!! ?
Angel Robinson
i usually use DOTs for bosses that have more than one action per turn.
Wyatt Butler
So I told Dean to deal stress damage to the entire party
Jonathan Green
Mine just carried a bunch of chokejobs through the baron. Point blank shot is one of the best pure damage skills and his riposte racks up crazy damage when youre normally just taking damage. Pair it with Antiquarian's protect me or PD vapour buff and reap that sweet inordinate exsanguination. Absolutely virtuous.
Alexander Reed
use duelist advance, laugh the enemy team hitting themselves, pair it with an antiquarian and laugh even more
Andrew Harris
I Use HwM for duelist advance into PBS most of the time, except when I need to focus on back rows with his shots.
>Lowest dmg Rng 'avin a giggle is all m8 >Never dodges Do you use focus ring? >Misses Do you not use focus ring?
Trinkets go a long way into making a class viable. If you're encountering too many misses/no dodge/low damage, change them accordingly. But if you're having all three problems at once, it's probably just rng, or using low level heroes on higher level dungeons
Brody Martin
I forgot to remind myself again
Jordan Johnson
The abyss returns even the boldest gays.
Jaxon Lopez
No, but you can use those guys to train your level 4-5 guys, since having at least one guy who cleared the dungeon gives everyone else +50% xp for completing the quest. Honestly there's no reason to dismiss those guys since you don't have to risk your fresh faces in champion dungeons with them around.
David Miller
>both lvl 0 Told them to fuck off.
Owen Foster
Aren't they always lvl 0?
Luke Russell
Doggo, Jest, Flag, Rev (Bloodknight dude from that exealus guy)
I know it's sort of cheating to use mods but this team lets everything bleed to death that can bleed and taht Revenant can transfer every bleed stack on the battle field, once per battle, on to one creature which will melt bosses with minions if done right, even harder if they dish out bleed themselves.
Jack Peterson
>Houndmaster making a last stand with his doggo Godspeed
Camden Lewis
Town event extra recruits (includes day long awaited) always gives you lvl 0s
Hudson Phillips
How does Flag's Blight/Bleed transfer work? Does it only transfer the status from him to an enemy, or can I transfer it from an ally to a enemy? Feels too circumstantial to waste a slot on.
Carter Russell
It transfers bleed and blight from a single ally to himself, clears their mark and marks himself, on top of a prot buff
Josiah Williams
He takes the blights, bleeds and marks an ally and puts it on himself, then buffs himself with + 40% PROT and 8% Death Blow resist. If you like using his below 50% HP abilities and having allies stay alive, this is THE skill to take with you.
Nathan Martinez
This event has my fave pic. I need it in high res wallpaper material.
Angel Martin
i get home in 45min. I'll try to do something then
Leo Reed
ty
Josiah Fisher
Nah, I brought back a lvl 5 or 4 iirc
Josiah Williams
>having at least one guy who cleared the dungeon gives everyone else +50% xp for completing the quest I didn't know that. Can you stack it? Like taking 2 post-DD heroes and gettin 100% xp bonus?
Henry Thomas
This is as big as I can get that specific image to go in waifu2x before it starts timing out.
Nolan Garcia
Is the DLC any good? The game is decent, but too grindy desu, I wonder if the crimson court changes it a bit?
Colton Cox
>bank interest of 5%
where are these irl tbqh s m h
Julian Smith
nice meme
Jonathan Rivera
Not really, the courtyard is the same grindy shit. But the new character is overpowered.
Liam Rogers
Could anyone photoshop something instead of the squares? Like the Darkest Dungeon logo or a big "REMIND YOURSELF BLABLABLA" in the DD style.
Luis Russell
>swine god time someone hold me
Jordan Watson
Swine god is literally the easiest boss in the game and you have an arbalest to make it even easier. Quit being a pussy
Isaac Long
I might have gone with stun resist on the arbalest 2bh, not like she's going to be doing any damage during the fight anyway what with spamming flare.
Adrian Morgan
Welp, that was a bit TOO easy. That was my first attempt at a champion boss.
Matthew Ramirez
Swine god isn't the real boss >bit o' squeal
Austin Turner
Just spam suffer with the Flagellant and bam, you win right away
>too easy
You have like, the most optimal Swine king team ever
Zachary Gutierrez
What determines whether or not Horror gets resisted? Is it tied to a stat or something?
Jace James
He's really not.
Nathaniel Lopez
Wait, so you can just make an entire new class just recycling animations and bones from any other class and editing skills?
Jayden Brooks
VanCleef HWM when?
Eli Martinez
still can't fucking believe blizzard revamped deadmines, what a shitshow that game is now
On topic, a VC HWM skin would be pretty cool.
Landon Brown
Not that user, but pretty much yeah.
Anthony Cooper
>Deathbringer PD
Michael Ross
Flagellant makes the Swine Bigboy too easy. Spam Suffer on whoever gets marked then heal to full with exsanguinate.
Its enough to make a guy feel a little overconfident
Levi Murphy
Thats not optimal. Occult + doggan + flagellant + whatever is optimal.
Swine god cant do shit with -80 damage
David Barnes
Does this work? Aspect ratio stuff is something someone else will have to figure out.
Lincoln Brooks
getting to the pounder was absolutely ass but the fight itself went very well. Ignoring the other brigands and only hitting Matchman+Pounder seems to have been a good call. Even though I stacked accuracy buffs and trinkets I still want to thank the RNGods for not missing the matchman once.
welp now I've cleared every champ boss, can't stall around the darkest dungeon anymore, im scared
Austin Hughes
It's okay. Thanks user!
Aiden Cooper
>Raynald and Dismas are not standing together dropped
Ryder Evans
I've seen several people talking about the grind so far in this thread, so I'll just mention that you can put this line on a trinket in the game files for 30% resolve xp. Don't do it if you can't figure out which file to edit or consider it cheating, just trying to help you out with grinding.
"RESOLVEXPBONUS30"
Leo Scott
Just lost my first hero, a level 3 bounty hunter to a freakin escape cloud... it was a long run and had encounter with a giant who got critted alot but still got a turn to use Treebranch smackdown. I really wanted that martyr seal.
