The person in winners bracket needs to win three games, the person in losers needs to win six.

Because in fighting game tournaments you get 2 chances.
When you lose, you get sent to the losers bracket, which a parallel tournament.
The grand finals is between the winner of the main tournament and the winner of the losers tournament.
Given the fact that the guy in "winners" still has 2 chances, the guy in losers has to win twice -one to knock him to the losers bracket and an additional one to bet him in losers.
