There was going to be one, you know? Similar to the structure of LOR but entirely taking place on the fortress.

Mission 1: infiltrate the fortress by capturing a cargo ship and reprogramming it to crash into one of the giant braids. This was a dual archwing/ground combat mission.

Mission 2: locate a major kuva storage tank and break through the defenses by setting several charges in key locations along its perimeter. This was another dual archwing/ground combat mission.

Mission 3: capture the tank and hold your ground while NPC allies load barrels of kuva onto a new tenno ship that's larger than the lander. This would consist of several massive waves of increasingly-difficult enemies and offensively-placed structures that target the ship & NPCs over players. It culminated in a boss fight against a metal-gear type mecha suit driven by a partially-destroyed warframe that worm controlled via telepathy. There was a hard time limit that you had to kill the boss within or it'd destroy the cargo ship and you'd fail the entire raid.

And here's the best part. Ready to get really fucking mad? Fatfuck shot it down in the final stages of development because kuva was going to replace endo in the reward table and he thought it was too easy for people to amass large quantities that way.

Same. I've heard they're "necessary for endgame" but I do the sorties just fine with the stuff I have and if the arcanes are only needed for meme builds or for doing the trials themselves then I don't know. I might try LOR some day but I read a JV walkthrough and it just looks unfun.

How do I get into sorties? I wasted my only lens and I really need to get more but I feel like I'm going to be destroyed or hit like a paper bag during missions.

If your gear is really meh get a Trinity Prime (straight upgrade over the base frame, easy to grind for/buy off market) and keep everyone healthy and fed.

They're not necessary, but can be good QoL increase, like i put 10x Arcane Aegis on my syandana and now i barely lose my shield under heavy fire unless it's some really high level stuff.

They do, it all depends on arcane, aegis is cheap and not that good as something like Energize that at level 10 turns 2 out of 5 energy orbs you pick up in to +125 energy to you and everyone in 20m range, instead of 25 energy.

As long as it's not the BPNPC face cat you can at least cover up the shit colors via buying the dna masker things.
