This

This is pretty much the closest you are going to get right here without going kit-cars like Ultima GTR.

It has super car visibility so you are getting the full experience.

Is that the Merkuer?

>supercar

hello gm marketing team

Nope I4 turbo not v6. Merkur was based on another Ford of Europe three door sierra shell.

Mostly this.

with boost and juice
or a v8

The chassis won't fit a V8 without lots of modification, a GTM is what you want.

>won't fit a V8
yea the 818 does look about a foot short
any v8 that would fit is pretty weak

>tfw keep forgetting about factory fives line up

NSX would be too obvious right?

triumph GT6 is also a classic poor mans supercar.

I wanna put one of these in a GTM. Because V10.

any hot hatch

But the NSX that's actually a super car isn't for the poor man and the one that you might be referring to that is, is about as fast as a C4 corvette man come on.
Id be scared to Because Audi.

>Now £140k

Different kind of poor man maybe.

>Not having a 2 liter V8 fabbed out of motorcycle engines for max power and max revs

I guess it fits the imagine given the question but why get something that looks the part when for the same price you can get something that doesn't look like a kitcar?

Eh, its biggest problem is carbon buildup, which can be solved by driving it hard every so often. Other than that the V10 is a pretty damn solid engine.

Both the GTM and Ultima looks pretty kitcar-ish to me.

No they don't.

I've literally seen both parked side by side.

The GTM attempts to look like a production supercar like a ford GT in typical kitcar fashion but constructing those hard to engineer proportions always fails. The windshield pillars look wonky and dont fit with the side profile at all.

The Ultima's bubble canopy windshield is easier to fit but also looks proper. It looks like a baby group C racecar not something plastic trying to mimic a mainstream production supercar.

Vauxhall Lotus Carlton

but I'd have to look at it

Do they make them with a normal canopy so short people don't have to compromise the looks.

Why get a baby group C car when you can get a baby LMP2

This pic makes me miss CA so fucking bad

evo 8
0-60 in 3.5
0-100 in 9.1, not that good desu.
12.1 second quarter mile
175 mph top speed.
faster around a track than a 911 carrera 4s, audi rs4, and about 1 second slower than a murcielago on top gear's track.
remember it came out in 2003 though.

Vapid Bullet

pretty surprised pic related hasnt been posted yet, it only costs 38k

sure it doesnt have the looks of supercar but pretty sure it has the joy of it

>0-60 in 3.5

Lotus Elise

>In an alternate universe this is the 2018 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am and is appealing to look at a Hot Wheels disaster

How poor we talkin?
McIncome? 350 or 302 powered 80s shit box. 2k
Poor but not destitute income? C5 corvette with heads/cam (12-15k)

Average income? GTR(45k) or C6Z(35K) 1G viper(25k)

>pretty weak
.eg less than 500 hp
even a TVR Griffith 5.0 is pretty underpowered

may as well stick

in a fiat 500

4,475 75° V8 SOHC 16v
440 hp (328 kW) at 7250 rpm
402 lb·ft (545 N·m) at 5500 rpm
267 lb (121 kilograms)

I will own a 1g Viper one day I swear.

Try around 5 seconds buddy.

here is that engine you described
turns out they cancel their projects quickly

A 30 year old shitty ford with a shit 2L engine is not a supercar in anyone's opinion.
