Yes. The ideal team is 2 score boosters, 2 combo boosters, and Miku or Kanade.

Mixed Combo/Score are better 5th members than skill boosters.

And it all depends on the not count of the song, some like Hakka Hakka are better with 3 score 1 mixed 1 combo.

Skill boosters are only CinFes cards that work only in mixed teams and Combo+Score are the "Princess" cards that work only in single type teams. So they're not exactly comparable directly.

Yeah but the Combo+Score require pure teams so they can't be ran with CinFes centers.

The combo+score one, yes. The Miku/Kanade skill boost will activate regardless, but without the center boost.

Miku and Kanade's skills are greatly supported by having their own center skill in action, so if you're not using them as center, might as well go with something else.

I'm not using Kanade as my center, but swapping out one of my combo boosters with her still increased my scores by quite a bit.

The game only registers one skill of each type as active. If you're using a setup of 2 Score Boost 2 Combo Boost, then a 3rd Score/Combo Boost would be redundant. Chances are, if they're all at Skill Level 10, one of the two will be active all the time.

It'd be better then to have a 5th Member augment the effects of the Score/Combo boosters, in which case, the Kanade/Miku would serve just fine.

Ultimately though, it's all still RNG. However, in the miraculous best case scenario where the right skills are active constantly, then a setup with Miku and Kanade will likely yield higher scores.

Nope, the reason why the standard team setup recommends 2 Score and 2 Combo Boosts is to compensate for the cooldown and gaps for skill triggers.

Ideally, you wouldn't want two Score Boost Idols to trigger at the same time. The preferred outcome would be that they activate during each other's respective cooldown times.

Nope. You only get one bonus (I don't actually know if it picks the higher one or the one that triggered first) and it lasts from the first trigger until the end of the second trigger.

So:
X (18%) activates
Y (17%) activates
18% bonus active
X ends
Y keeps running with the bonus
17% bonus
Y ends

Using external tools and run simulations.

There used to be this that a nip made that shows possible outcomes and a visual representation of where skills would activate in each outcome but unfortunately looks like it never got updated to add the new CinFes and Princess skills that came this year.
