Just because it's not Capcom doesn't mean it won't be bad. If you have to constantly compare yourself to current Capcom to make a game sound good, then it's a shit game.
Warm reminder that SFV and T7 are similarly dreadful. Both games have horrendous input lag, terrible online experience, a lack of character variety, long and artificial load times, and sparse on features. Promoting either of these games weakens the fighting game community.

Barrier doesn't cost any meter, 4 buttons instead of 5, most characters have a unique system mechanic, nothing too crazy, just spend like 30 seconds reading them up, max damage is higher under normal, you actually have to put effort into opening people up after you win neutral.

GG has hard knockdowns and heavily oki-focused, BB has oki too but there's a lot of wakeup options making it a bit more "fair" for the defending player
BB has pretty long combos off most hits, GG's combos tend to be a lot shorter and scale more with the situation (Counter hit, corner, meter, etc.)
BB characters fight mostly with their own unique mechanics, making them a bit more linear, and that makes the game really match-up dependants (A character who is very weak against a lot of characters can be strong against a specific character and vice-versa). GG characters fight mostly with universal mechanics, making them more flexible and making the game less match-up dependants (Jack-O' would be an exception, she's more like a BB character in that her own mechanics dictate how she plays rather than the game's mechanics, and because of it she ends up match-up dependant too)
