Haven't played since T6 and want to get back, Trying to pick a new main, got any advice ?

My old faves are Heihachi (since T3), Lars, Asuka, Lily and Zafina (previous main). Zafina is out but Kazumi seems fine, Alisa finally has an ok looking costume so I'm considering checking out those two as well.

So a friend just had me watch some Injustice 2 matches from Evo where a dude just did a shit ton of chip damage to win matches and it got me wondering, in Tekken can the chip damage from blocking Akuma's fireballs KO you? I've never seen it happen and the chip damage seems barely noticable so I was curious.

The actual problem here is that Akuma is following Tekken's rules when he's not balanced for them.
