Automatic Turbos will always exist in mint condition. I haven't ever heard of a stock LHD turbo manual in existence since I got into cars 5 years ago, but there are more stock LHD NA manuals around than you might think

This isn't saying that many of the modified Turbos aren't reversible. I think Frog Spaghetti intentionally kept his "reversible" to increase resale potential. Though the bottom end has probably been through a fuckton of abuse in its 20,000 or so miles of which 90% have been at full throttle on its highest tune.

They'll always exist. Not everyone is modifying them.

>I haven't ever heard of a stock LHD turbo manual in existence since I got into cars 5 years ago,

That's because you haven't actually bothered looking or just suck at it.

This 1997 Toyota Supra Twin-Turbo 6-Speed w/ 59k miles just sold for $58k in August.

Although this is a targa.

I have a stock MK3 Supra. What do I win?

Nothing, they're a dime a dozen

>pic related

Fuck Frog Spaghetti, those stock wheels make me hard

That nig with an E30 is now my favorite namefag

I've been in a 1jz-gte swapped MK3 Supra and it was amazing to say the least. I'm sure your stock supra is nice though.

are you talking about Rob Ferrertti?

Most people anons on this board strongly dislike me so I guess welcome to the club.

>are you talking about Rob Ferrertti?

Yes. Too lazy to quotemine on mobile but I believe he claimed the stock wheels devalued it in one of his videos cause everyone thinks they're ugly

I hate this meme.

The 16s/SZ wheels look like garbage, yes, but I love the 17s/RZ wheels. They're the perfect shape.

They are already priced so high they might as well not exist.

There were only 11,000 in the US to begin with.

~30,000 in Japan, and the rest of the world got maybe 1,000-2,000.

>They'll always exist. Not everyone is modifying them.

That's what they said about the S chassis, and that was an exponentially more abundant car. All of them have joined the Fiat X1/9, Yugo GV, and Alfa Romeo Arna in the "critically endangered" group.

>That's what they said about the S chassis

I can easily make you look stupid right now. Are you sure you want to play this game? Because I have multiple links to bone stock S-Chassis

Please show us these links. I need fap material

>has to resort to japanese ones

yeah and there's tons of yugos in serbia

Just saw about 30 of them in Long Beach Cali last week and it wasn't even a Supra meet just a regular car Meet.

I live in Vegas and the last one I saw was like 8 years ago. I see R32's every other week however.

Makes me sad. But they're not as rare as people make them out to be, yes only 11k in the states, but you will see a lot of stock 6 spd TT's for sale every so often like that name fag is pointing out, and they're not 6 figure prices like jalopnik will lead you to believe; unless it's very low miles and is a rare color like the sapphire blue.

A blown headgasket

see below

that pic has nothing to do with the links I was talking about, I was just posting a pic.

All these links are just the ones in my craigslist favorites I can find so many more. All manual except the last link

>last one I saw was 8 years ago

>they're not that rare

>dat red s13 coupe with the heads up digital speedo
God I hope it goes to a good home ;_;7

Go to Phoenix or SoCal. That's why I'm saying they aren't that rare.

When I went to ASU I saw one everyday basically.

All of these are automatic but bone stock. its piss easy and cheap to swap them to a 5 speed if you know what you are doing. Hate when retards like you spew how hard it is to find a bone stock s chassis.

I linked like 15 listings in that post, you're going to have to be specific. that being said out of all of them you picked out 1 that had a blown engine.

Yes, the 7M-GTE is fine, or if you must swap you can get a 2JZ-GTE VVTi and do as good without all the extra weight

>suggesting a 2jzgte not knowing how expensive that swap is.

stop playing Forza.

you should have your own thread, E30 nig

I'll try but captcha is being weird for me when making threads I get this "connection error" when i try use captcha. Any idea on how to fix it?

Currently using v1 captcha for replying to people's post since that works for me.

>v1

Clover biatch

>manual
>turbo

>'97
>39,900 out of maybe 42,000 produced

Wew fucking lad, if it weren't for the badge mods it's be perfect. I would fully pay that, or haggle down to $40-45,000 if I were feeling Jewish.

yup clover anyways I made my own thread here

smokey's 3sgte supra

God damn, you work fucking fast, E30 nig

smokey's v12 supra

>320ish HP
>coupe with modern day classic early 90s melted dildo silhouette
>cramped back seats
>targa top
>pigfat at 3400 lbs
>huge wing
>shitty 90s plastic interior
>hatch trunk
>auto and manual transmissions available

SERIOUS question, no trolling, unless you're very wealthy and money is no issue, why not buy a clean title V8 4th gen Trans Am instead and save about $30-40K? I mean other than the engine, these two cars are incredibly similar. Is F&F nostalgia THAT important to these people?

To me they're a much better road racing chassis (with an engine swap anyway, most racing cars were 3S powered cause the 2J is pigfat and front heavy). Their interiors are a lot nicer too. I also just prefer the look to the Chicken in particular. It's not worth the price difference though, I agree.

Triggered.

...

>assuming it's only liked because of a 16 year old film

How's it feeling being a newfag

Thank you for you reasonable reply. I disagree with the interior comment tho. The Supra may have a cooler looking jet fighter style dashboard but it really just means more of that early 90s cheap, hard plastic taking up space

Not very reasonable

It's not hard plastic, though. Have you ever been in one? It's all soft materials on every surface except the gauge cluster.

I'm in my mid 20s, I grew up watching F&F too, I get it. I wanted a R34 GTR growing up but the more I learned about cars, the more I realize they were overpriced and not worth the trouble. Unless you really fucking love I6 engines or tarbos, I can't see why F-bodies couldn't be a more affordable alternative

>Have you ever been in one?
Nope, can't say I have so I'll give you the benefit of doubt but it doesn't look much better than a 4th gen Fbody interior from what I can tell by looking at pictures. No cracks on plastic door panels as opposed to 95% of all Fbodies tho I'll give you that

But I don't really want an R34. I like F-bodies too, I've considered buying them before, but a passion for a car will always be defined by an immaterial emotional attachment, not something driven by logic.

Not everything has to make sense to one's heart.

here's a better picture and this one isn't autotragic

>museum/collection pieces
I had a good laugh mate wont lie

See this is why you just buy an is300 and swap a gte in. Lighter, 4 doors, could be a sleeper while also having an iconic look.

At least that's my plan anyway

>VVTi 2J

Are you fucking kidding me

Are you?

I have 2 mark 3 supras. a 2jz and 1 jz.

You're an idiot. You need a JZ bell housing. Most 2jzs for swaps are from aristos. Which almost all if all of them came with autoslush boxes and that puppy isn't cheap

i knew a dude at our local car meets that swapped the toyota v8 into a rhd n/a 5 speed mk4. shit was pretty sweet. he said he was planning on supercharging it.

nice alternative to le 2jz with a getrag meme

k

I stated he needed a JZ bell housing in the green text you fucking moron
>Almost all of them came with autoslush boxes
He asked about swapping a Barra into a MK3, the R154 came in the turbo models and can be had cheap

Go fuck yourself

I actually saw a stock one this morning

>charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/d/1993-toyota-supra-na-5-speed/6395408087.html
>147,000
>NA
>$26,000
Do people actually buy at these prices?

probably not. You have to remember its craigslist and the price is always negotiable, especially if its for an undesirable Toyota Supra. I'm sure they actually sell for $15-$20k

Supra related though not mk4.
On the mk3, is the 7m-gte really so bad or problematic? My tism demands I keep cars stock if there's nothing terribly wrong, but I hear about how common 1jz swaps are as well as the headgasket being an issue on the 7m.

bought my auto n/a supra for 2k a few months ago

The head gasket was an issue because the heads weren't torqued to spec out of the factory, if the previous owner took care of it then it is a non-issue, the 7Ms can go for a long time with properly torqued heads

That doesn't sound so bad then.
If I were to buy a used one, what mileage would the headgasket start to become an issue or be cleared already if a previous owner handled it?

Depends, I think I've heard 70-80k

that Supra is suuuupah happy!

There are plenty of great ones in the land of the rising sun. If you don't mind the RHD of course.

there plenty of great ones in United States. just scan through this thread ya idiot

Was spoiler delete an official option?

Those must be worth a lot if so.

>stock, decent shape and miles, TT MKIV Supras sell for $60k

fml. I want one but those prices are stupid :(

not sure

Depends on the year. Some years the spoiler was standard, making spoilerless optional, other years the spoiler was optional.

Same price you'd pay for an R34 or NSX.

This guy is doing God’s work. It’s a shame that unless you wanna spend $50k plus there’s no chance of getting a mk4.

I used to be like you, but then I thought about it, and I prefer it this way. Higher point of entry means it's harder for even scummier scum to get their hands on them. I'd rather they be hard to attain than easy to attain and have every 1320fag cum in its tailpipe.

They're getting so expensive due to their collector car status if anything riced ones will begin to have pricy restorations

>had a dream i was swapping a 1jz into a mk3 supra

You’ve got a point. I think that people with money could be just as faggy about it, but if you’re dropping that much on a car I’d assume they have at least some knowledge beyond Fast&Furious.

>just bought a mk3
>don't have money to buy a 1jz
>not to mention I want to get a feel for the car as a whole before stripping out its engine

bad man, feels

>want to buy a mk3
>want to put a 1jz in it
>no equipment, knowledge, money, or place to do engine swap

its actually so easy. Me and my cousin both complete amateurs changed the clutch in my car in a few hours and it was easy as piss. I actually cant believe I was just about to spend $500+ to get it done at a shop. I bet you could do the entire swap with

bruh its not like you're the first person to tackle this and you have no guidance at all. There are write ups on the internet for 1jz mk3 supras. work on getting a place to do the swap then just fucking do it.

bepis
