Well "invest" is just giving him stuff from a bunch of junk 4*s I'd had spare so I could use him.
Armorslayer+ still has a higher Mt than any other 3* sword so there's no point in giving him something else.

Legion is literally the best F2P Axe, and he's actually really good.

Dracoshield Jedah is piss easy though, I usually take him out first turn:

If he survives, just do it again next turn.

On the final map, summoned shit will probably kill itself trying to rush him, so keeping track of when to hit him there can get annoying, but no Dracoshield means he'll probably go down as soon as you get a chance to.

Anna can survive thundercock, yes.
Legion is also a good option. He's got a better offensive spread than Anna and slightly better physical defense, but much worse res. Won't survive thundercock but will fare better vs physical melee blues.

If you picked him up in the recent GHB, Michalis is also an option. Also won't survive thundercock, but is a great green physical wall.

This is with Reprisal/Desperation/Fury 3 Anna that's buffed with +4Attack/Speed and on 1 Hp. Pretty good I'd say

Hard, I only played normal the first time in Japanese so I could get a feel for things later, my most recent run was as encounterless as possible so I only got Celica to level 16 before promotion, which means getting Ragnarok at level 5. If it's not enough to kill she'll probably get nuked to death which means having to use a weaker spell the first turn. Beating him gets rid of his adds so it helps with clearing the map quickly, especially since you need to wait until like turn 7 otherwise when it's doable in about 3-4 without him there.
