Well I have britbong and japan in tier V and russia/germany in tier IV. I haven't touched tanks and kind of want to main only one country. I think I'm split between Russia and Japan.

Just downloaded this a couple of days back, and I'm getting fucked left and right so I think I might be doing something wrong. I kept hearing about how good British tanks are and how they're only second to Russian but I'm getting one shot by everything. Fucking everything, it doesn't matter if they're shooting me from point blank or a thousand metres away fucking everything one shots me. And if I do play it safe and shoot first, unless the shot kills them they turn around before I'm done reloading and fucking 1 shot me. I mean sure the crusaders/cromwells aren't the most sturdy tanks but it feels like anything that isn't a fucking AA gun is going to win against me unless I get the jump on them, and even they stand a chance since the armor is pretty much non-existent and they can just chew through it head on. These tanks aren't even that fast either, the tier 1/2 American tanks easily overtake them. What am I doing wrong?

You have to use it against T-34-85s that bounce it constantly because it's a BR 4-6 gun shooting uncapped shells that lose pen drastically on any slope. An angled KV-1 is like a maus.

You don't. Currently Soviet SPAA is almost completely useless because the low ROF makes hitting US/UK fighter bombers which it most commonly faces almost impossible and because the HVAP belt was nerfed it's almost useless against tanks.
