The differences between no loadout card and best loadout card in no way will decide whether you're going to win a game or not. Not to mention that anything above bronze quality is purely cosmetic and bronzes are dirt cheap.

Because it takes ages for you to get all the bronze cards, and you could just buy them with cash.

Well it seems like the OP is heavily outdated, some of the links don't even work anymore. I'll make a new one eventually.

Has anything changed in the last... 12-18 months?

In 12 months they've:

>Introduced a new (shittier) crafting system
>Fixed bugs
>Reworked all of the maps, got rid of shitty screen effects that no one liked
>Made the game run better
>Changed the anticheat to Easyanticheat
>Got rid of Nexon
>Added custom crosshairs
>Doubled the size of the team working on DB
>Added a new map: Dockyard
>Added new starter packs
>Added a new map: Vault
>Added a new merc: Turtle

Either way, the only reason I play DB is that nobody else makes games of this genre. SD has zero competition. The moment somebody(competent enough) announces a new game I'll be gone. Until then, Dirty Bomb still has hope to recover and improve. The new designer seems to be an okay guy so far.

I stopped playing DB a while ago after they nerfed Vassili's headshots, you couldn't get a definite kill anymore
so I have some questions :
how dead is the game? what are the worst competitive characters? is Sparks still viable? any new/removed mechanics I should be aware of?

Half the crew has stopped playing the game and some have had mental breakdowns which then caused them to leave Steam.

I used to play a long time ago but gave up when it seemed SD were inept.

Probably Phantom and Redeye. I wouldn't know, I don't play Competitive anymore. Back when I played someone told me the meta is Fragger + Sawbonez + Nader + Fire Support + Medic

they reworked some mercs, I can't be bothered to go through all of them. Phantom's cloak now disables buildings, fragger only has 1 grenade, and there are new mercs.

You are way out of loop. Redeye is possibly the most OP merc in the entire game.

I'm a boring person, although I only recently started playing this (got bored of csgo).

Over time I have learned to prefer execution over objective now

Exe missions were already removed, won't be long until the entire gamemode is gone.

I don't play obj or SW no where as much as I used too I just find them really boring now unless both sides have great teams and even then I don't get a rush out of it like I get one when I play EXE.

I hate Objective with a passion. Execution is usually horribly unbalanced too, so I don't play that either.

The ET map design and mechanics make me want to kill myself

I played it once and it felt like a battlefield map if that makes any sense. There was ways to move around and stuff but I don't think there was any good places to really wall jump around but dockyard was like that too

MG nest feels way too dominant in the first area. Very few ways for attackers to safely get to it, and covers almost the entire c4 site and surrounding passages.

Where do you place Turtle, lads? Boom or bust? I think c43 is his best card and the extender augment is pretty shit compared to steady.
