First for shitposting

>clans are still winning in the CW
>when you invade the inner sphere so hard you conquer terra and derail the lore in every possible way and make piggy break the whole game with nerfs because retirement home davions keep whining about clans being op
I think the tryhards are just keeping up the clan steamroller purpose and out of spite by this point, they're going to try and see how much they can fuck the game's shit up by proxy.

woah that linking park dude killed himself wtf

mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=151&l=7dc75c811be297199f0980dca0b3bf738b5dc06a

lol

>most retarded aidsniggers voting the most retarded maps and most retarded gamemodes
>piggy still not removing the most retarded maps and retarded gamemodes from the goddamn fucking game

If you just want a Mechlab maybe HeavyMetal Pro or Solaris Skunk Werks are more your speed.

I just want fucking skirmish on maps that aren't dogshit, with players that are atleast minimally viable instead of players having asscancer in the brain and aids in the cortex.

Literally worst matches i have ever fuckign seen and played. Fucking gas the whole human race, what the fuck is the problem with 10000x times more fucking retards in the queue. Fuck this patch, fuck doatech and fuck these braindead shitters.

>getting this upset over video games
get actual help

On Chris Cornell's birthday, too. Not at all coincidentally.

>Paul watching the chat logs while he jacks off into a pile of whaledollars, lubricated with your salty ragetears

You know that's why.

You would have to time travel back to 1996 with NetMech for MechWarrior 2 to get that experience. Also to get working quad Mechs which is lostech like inverse kinematics, player operated dedicated servers and fun.

I guess he's done crawling in his skin. Do you think he was contemplating living things and the papercuts while realizing in the end it doesn't really matter?

It's gonna be pretty bad while people try out all the new doa tech

Some of the stuff is remotely viable on the IS side so if you have more IS mechs you might have a better chance.

Things to avoid though

>RACs, especially boated
>Ass To Mouth missiles
>Heavy Lasers
>Microlasers
>MRMs
>Heavy and light gauss

A bunch of the newtech IS weapons have clan levels of heat like their ppcs so flamers are working especially well recently.

Now he'll have plenty of things crawling in his skin, and his wound literally cannot heal.

hello turbo shitter
I bet you need quad stacks of red smoke just to break 500

>MRMs

I watched someone in a Vindicator with an MRM 40 and nothing else.

It was actually fun and he got two kills from his torso mounted 25% cooldown quirked missile jizzer.

Do you need a safe space, some tendies and a plushie of a pony before you burst into tears?

>flamers are working especially well recently
Yes, yes they are.

>modular weapon cancer system so all weapons look identical across all platforms
>they still somehow managed to fuck up the entire point of that when half the mechs in the game don't show the new weapon models

I just can't believe this company is real sometimes

Well of course quirks make it different, but if you want to cum missiles all over someone then use MRMs.

If you want to actually destroy an IS quirk mech you'll need more direct firepower.

It sounds like standard PGI tactics.

>tfw enemy team actually turns polar dumplands into a brawl
twas cool
we won

mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=154&l=26f3f451bad4dba8b6cda6b0a13c3268dbea8e2d

We must refurbish old klassics with nutech memes.

Huelander IIC still as good as ever tho, the spooky alpha still makes everyone back down, doesnt matter than you can basically do it once every 7 seconds.

What would the Jack Attack, Shaq Attack look like with nutech?

>hey goys we're gonna introduce your favorite clan nova cat
>we will surely honor your lore commitment by letting fucking stevie wonder redesign their emblem
>it's no longer a cat looks like a bat or a fucking gremlin wtf
>couple of days later
>here's a totally fine one
I'm at a loss of words desu. Why not make it good the first time? How they manage to fuck up in simple stuff like that? Are they fucking retarded or just plain lazy? Did they think people won't notice or do they do their job normally only when people shit on them?

>mfw he doesn't remember PGI's vision for clans.

My 2RAC5 Bushwacker has actually been doing really well
Have not enjoyed MRMs though, even boating small ones like 3 MRM20 or 4MRM10. 4x AS4M4 just feels way better, so I switched my Griffin 3M back to that with an LFE.

Don't ask me about my 6HMG Shadow Cat.

Can I ask you about your 6HMG Shadow Cat?

How do I fit stealth armor on a DDC without stupid compromises?

Amazing, simply epic.

>stealth armor
>he doesn't know

Real Kong dongers don't need stealth armor

mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=17&l=9f0d447548c51fec3f3ecd52ad6ca644d1708838

With the power of memes.

REEEEEEEEEEEEE

>AMS.

I think you're using the wrong atlas.

I'm sorry, but the Jade Falcon one is better.

The others are shit, but JF is dank

mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=17&l=972634e4a6aeadbf13c7fe3517a5bc6b5ea0a531

Is this a gud robutt?

I want to get into MWO. Are LRMBoats viable?

Honestly, the PGI Falcon isn't too bad. It's not as bright as the standard decal, and it has a slightly better layout so I can fit it onto my mechs much cleaner.

But I will admit, the others look like ass.

Yes, but you'll only be viable 50% of the time, and a lot of people will hate you, either for being a relentless LRM sandblaster or being an unsupportive back-line camper.

So like playing Arty in WoT, then?

Basically. LRM boats are either amazing or useless with no inbetween, and most people have one or more reasons to dislike them. They can be incredibly helpful, but I've also had a fair share of matches where an LRM boat will just stand and watch their team get slaughtered while they tunnel vision on getting target locks that break before launch.

Is there a way to LRMboat without that happening?

Dumbledore dies

No, and the faster you stop wanting to be a shitty LRMboat, the sooner you'll start having fun.

The closest lurms get to viability is having one or two on a robot with stronk missile kwirks and high speed, so you can support the rest of your team at 400~ meters. LRMs are actually really shitty at extreme ranges.

Awwww, show us on the mech plushie where the big bad LRMBoater touched you.

Nobody got ever touched by a lrm boat, it's just shit m8.

At a certain point in life you just should start to git gud and stop using lurms.

Dont worry, if you put 2 L-PPCs in a locust on one arm, the 2nd PPC, gets the generic laser box.

I think this is cool shit, okay?

...

Oh crap I just saw the email from PGI about all the new equipment.

I haven't played MWO or been in this thread in over a year but I'm afraid of relapsing

Guys what do I do

kys

Know this: everything new is worse than what was old.

You're in luck because you'll find half a dozen new builds to try out and each will be more fun than the last.

Eventually you find one build to rule them all and you'll love it and never put it down until the next patch when they nerf it

It would be cool if mechs could carry giant fuck off missiles like this.

Sometimes the jokes just write themselves

Is that title for being a whale?

They do, They're called Thunderbolts and Arrows.

youtube.com/watch?v=J02Ghmz4JAo

>mechwarrior game
>lol planes!
laff everytime

>The mech torso can't bend to point up
>Dies a slow death.
laff erry time.

>there are people who still play living memes.

>There are no more new archie sonic comics.
>Lincoln park is ded
>Atari is making a console

Is this the golden age I had waited for?

Face it, MW would be better of without a heat system. Its obvious that EVERYONE hates it, just theyre too pussy to admit it. Nobody polays Terra Therma because they cant grasp heat maangement and would rateher it never existed.

I always vote for terra therma because then I can farm scrubs like you who can't understand heatbars.

gg ez

I never said I hated the heatsystem, I said everyone else does. People would always chose to be able to shoot until ammo runs dry without overheating over the current game.

should I get back into MWO

no

yes

>there are people who don't read the Sonic comic.

>There are people who still think there's hope for man

maybe

Yes. But you'll always be third-rate, because you're perpetually spreading your damage all over targets while other weapons are making neat holes in vital parts of your opponent's anatomy.

On the other hand, the salt that can be had from beating people who think they're better with your missile boat is delicious. You have to git gud, you have to be aggressive, and contrary to what you'll see every LRM retard do, you can't be a rear-echelon motherfucker bombing every lock and hiding 500m behind everyone else.

It's easy to be a lurmtard, but lurmtards contribute nothing. Get in close. Get your own locks whenever you can. Take some hits. Mix it up with your bros, learn where your blunt force sandblasting helps the most, and you may be one of the few missile boaters that's not a complete shit.

And don't just pack LRMs. At least some lasers, and use them.

Not quite. You don't hide behind everyone else unless you want to be a parasitic failboat. LRMs have huge range, but they're only accurate to about half that, which means you want to be in the firing line.

You can get shots around cover others can't, but you have to be aware of what's out there lest you end up slamming salvo after salvo into a random rock or building. There is no "near miss" for LRMs- either you kept lock the whole way in (or got it back before impact), or you wasted ammo on dirt.

getting mixed messages

Yes. Ignore newbie lurmers. Newbie lurmers think they can be safe, far behind the lines where nobody will hit them and all their missiles will unfailing strike dirt in their whale-like assault missile waddle turret while chanting "I'M HELPING, I'M HELPING!".

Decent LRM boats are mediums or heavies, have reasonable if not good mobility to position (and get your own fucking locks as often as possible), and carry a decent secondary battery both to protect themselves up close and to save on ammo by burning weak spots in targets/finishing off shit because LRMs are the worst at focused damage to single sections of a robot.

If you can't keep up with the rest of your team, you are too fucking slow to use missiles. If you don't get your own locks, your useless Artemis will mock you with it's bonuses as launch after launch goes wild because your poking-buddy team only gives you five seconds of red square to target before dropping the lock and pissing your attempt to help into the nearest terrain feature. If you don't mount proper secondaries, the enemy light will light a victory cigar over your smoking corpse because LRMs and face/butthugging lights do not mix well for the guy with the missiles.

You can hit people at angles no direct fire weapon can, so you can use weird positions. But, you have to be in places where if the brawlers see you, you can skedaddle someplace the rest of the team can ream them since your secondaries usually only will make the other guy hurt, but can't kill them fast unassisted.

On a good map, you will put up four digit damage + kill lots and be the guy everyone on the other team hates for being their tormentor. On a bad map, you will struggle to survive, hit a target, and be relieved you even got a kill, if the stars aligned and you managed to catch some tard in the two inches between covered spots with a lucky salvo.

Missile boats are the most situational beasts in the game, and I love them for it.

Dual RAC5s on the D-DC is pretty dope.

LRMs are best used as side weapons on Heavy and Assault mechs like Whisper's Highlander build, where you can hit people hard and supplement or be versatile at long range with LRMs.

Mediums can do this well at the cost of a harder hitting primary weapon setup. Wish they got buffed though like the Trebber.

siege on yung trebber

>hurr hurr what is this roleplaying peepeecee meme build.
>you're like, man, you've become the old men.
>proceed to do less than 100 damage.

Shit, nice double digit memes.

This is the power of an MRM Trebuchet now (winning team). I know he got me from behind with 60 MRMs, which was enough to cripple me in one shot and overkill me the second.

>refunded Annihilator and Madcat MkII cause I decided they weren't worth my money
>definitely got my money back
>decide to login now to check out new tech and mechs
>find this

free madcat II pack!

mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=17&l=efb073362e49c7724648c4d5b3c3bd2d530e9695

Don't think you want to be running around in the middle of the enemy group while super hot from the armor. Maybe you might not like MRMs, but hey at point blank range it has only marginally less alpha damage than the typical SRM bomb.

Mmm, sure.

I'm telling the truth. I refunded my packs

boards.fireden.net/vg/thread/178690113/#q178908438

At least they did not do 11(eleven) dmg in MRBC

I would honestly direct new players into laser vomit & ballistic builds over LRM's, every time. LRM's are a fine experience of landing half of your ammo or less on a target due to target loss, cover, etc on top of it only being sandblast damage (arms, legs, all torsos) instead of the center target or leg you'd rather concentrate on.
Don't do it. Just don't do it. Get some beams and ballistics and focus on the 500 meter range game and use distance, cover, and movement to reduce incoming fire.

Learning to Brawl will come later.

So what exactly does stealth armor do?
"When active, Stealth Armor will make your 'Mech invisible to Enemy Sensors and Targeting systems, remaining visible only to the naked eye."
Isn't that already what ECM does?

>Bought the Uziel pack and just the Uziel pack, double checked and I only paid for the one pack
>For some fucking reason got annihilators too
Neat. Based Piggy still has no idea what it's doing.

I assume it means you're permanently untargetable, ignoring BAP or even TAG.
It would be fucking based if it made you have no heat signature too.

No. ECM only stops lock-ons and targeting from a certain range, stealth armor stops it at ANY range. As in, while the armor is active, you cant get locked onto by missiles, you cant be spotted, and since you cant be spotted the enemy can't see your paperdoll to know where you've taken damage. The only counter to this is getting hit with a PPC since that will disable your electronics, temporarily turning off your ECM and your stealth armor.

It's like ECM, but better and more useful in every conceivable way, at the cost of not dissipating heat even though you'll still dissipate heat anyway if the map is cold enough because piggy code

Good news, it absolutely does make you invisible to thermal vision. And yes, you're immune to BAP and shit.

"Cougar COU-Prime [S]: Fixed an issue where the default Colour for the special Prime variant was using a shade of green, rather than a shade of brown."

YES.
YES.
FUCKING THANK YOU. FUCK.

Does anyone have the orange Xbox 360 cover for MWO?

...

>Pubbies face when you turn deactivate your Warbosse's stealth armor right in their face on a midnight map

Dare I?

>three MRM 20s
>top MRM has 20 holes, middle one has 10 holes, bottom has 2 holes

? ? ?? ? ?? ??

there's a mechanism inside to move stuff to the holes or something.

Can it even fire that properly?

Also
>decide to take my heavy out for a spin instead of my lights
>Conquest, Tourmaline
>allies mob on Theta, ignore all other flags and get slaughtered. I get picked apart by lights.
>Domination, PolarLurmlands
>allies sit just behind cap circle, refuse to engage, get flanked and picked off by LRM boats. Die holding circle
>Assault, Viridian Bog
>Allies take low path, get cut apart by enemy assaults on the plateaus. Last stand with Uziel, both eat shit from massed autocannons. Viper tries to hide via shutdown, gets spotted immediately
>Escort, Forest Colony
>Allies decide to camp away from the VIP's path, enemy kills anyone away from the main group before encircling the remainder. Die early trying to slow enemy column

Holy fuck, I just want my daily win so I can go back to going fast and flying.
