I think you need to give up 50 prestige to disinherit. For that first war with Morocco (if that's what you're going for) you need every battle to go perfectly in terrain that usually doesn't favour you. You're probably also going to be racing against the Portuguese to occupy stuff. The first 50 years with Trastamaras is rough but it picks up fast as soon as Bestburgs get on the throne.

Not even counting in possible Burgundian inheritance, Iberian Wedding or Portugal PU - once you're past Trastamaras it's easy.

iirc your first heir is the 0 guy you could disinherit him after the first war but that depends on who Granada is allied to.

At that point it's just what's more important to you, the bonuses from prestige or much more Mana from a new heir that isn't literal shit.

Even with the 0/0/0 I was up to date on military tech (the only thing worth bothering about that early) and maybe one idea or so behind France. Compared to a potential defeat or stack wipe in the Atlas Mountains (or even worse, losing ground to Portugal) I view the Prestige as more important.
