Skaven are not just "the wacky technology race", and they are not merely about a horde of expendable units.

No, soulless horde faction is a staple fantasy trope. Skaven go beyond that. Like the Chinese, they are a perverse mockery of man, retaining none of his virtues and expounding on his vices.

The Skaven/Chinaman lacks the courage, integrity, valor and nobility that humans can aspire to. They have an overdeveloped take on human deception, ambition, and cowardice. The squalor of Skaven/Chinese warrens is nightmarish, and they seek to prevail against their betters through treachery.

It is not for nothing that Skaven live under humanity- it is a play on the old children's belief that if you dig long enough it'll take you to China. The Yellow Peril is real in warhammer fantasy, and lies chittering under the realms of men.

I think with the Skaven, we are getting two factions which will be one standard Skaven faction and the other will be Clan Skyre.

There is a lot of Skaven hints from the ritual that seem like Clan Skyre inventions and I'm wondering if Ikit Claw will be a LL.

His stats are the same, but when you hover the pointer over mount skills it removes the stat bonuses you get from other skills and items.

Depends on if you like to use him as captain smashfucker or as a runny spell man.

I think so. It lets him move around more easily in battle, since he has higher mass and speed. He won't be knocked down by large units either.
