i meant ruling party support, sorry. i think it will be much more immersive to have modifiers for religion and moralism for lowering con + reform desire.
for ottomans i dont think it is the best way to have all interaction with religion (which was of paramount importance in this region) to be a single decision and just a modifier before that.
so my point is that while it is possible to railroad these things with modifiers, it would be much more fun for player to have some agency here.

HPM, what's the point of the commission warship decision? I don't think anyone ever takes it.
Why is Spain split into Spanish and Catalan but France is all 100% French? Objectively speaking a third of the country didn't even speak French until the 1880s when public school was made free and mandatory to force people to learn it.
slmc.uottawa.ca/?q=french_history#s4c

what's "edgy" about saying that religions should be an impactful mechanic rather than just flavour?

It's not edgy, but it's not very immersive to give religions different power moves

i never asked for the eu4 stupid modifiers for religion, i just pointed out that it had huge impact in some regions that is not modeled properly right now.

it's not "power moves"

why would hindu's work cattle RGOs for example?

That doesn't boost party popularity. It just makes people agree more with the ruling party.
I don't see how religion would affect that. Tying that to a religious policy, like moralism, doesn't make sense.

I can't have modifiers working on a specific religion and it's wrong to make it generic. If moralism (if a pop really cares about religion, it's a moralistic pop) is an issue to a pop and your ruling party has the same issue, they will agree and they get less CON (IIRC MIL too) as a result.
Religion already affects a few things. Like a province a pop migrates. Who they vote for. Muslim and shinto pops are naturally more conservative. And it affects CON and MIL if the pop agrees or not with the ruling party.

To buy ships. It's mainly for rich uncivs, like the Qing.
Because Catalans have a nationalist movement from the 19th century to today.
The game isn't about languages, it's about culture.

Can you change the cores on Kuzhestan?
Currently there's no way to get only the arab part(only if you are playing as fascist Syria), Iraq has cores on all of it (so you can't release it with only the arab part) and the Arab Union has no cores there at all.

hidus*

About conquering the pope, just like any other country
throughout this playthrough i was excommunicated like 8 times by various countries and it fucking sucks especially for legitimacy but at some point i was getting a shit ton of papal influence out the ass and had a stranglehold on the curia

but that was way way after i conquered the pope, but basically what happens is the usual get an event asking to give rome back but i never did so the pope spawned somewhere else
however at some point you can take a decision to make amends with the pope and let him live in rome (a la real italy) but you still control the province and basically everyone stops being pissed at you for annexing the pope

That's a good start.

The Cattle RGO doesn't represent only cows. It represents porks, chicken, sheep, etc. Livestock.
Which would actually be a great name for it.

I think the ARU gets core there, but what do you propose to fix this?

>deaf in texas en eu3
for what

How tall are you?

About 6 American meters.

oh it's paradox's fault them, how would I know

Apparently they specifically don't get cores there? Or rather, get them removed instantly.
I would propose to firstly remove the Iraqi core on the northermost (non-arab) province, and then let the Arab Union get cores there.

White Men

>however at some point you can take a decision to make amends with the pope and let him live in rome (a la real italy) but you still control the province and basically everyone stops being pissed at you for annexing the pope
Great, that's all I really need.

problem is that moralism is just one of the many issues, in practice for russia it is not over 15% for their orthodox pops, so even if it kinda works this way there is no player agency. btw, since both reactionary and conservative parties in russia start with moralism other issues start to define which party they agree to.
Point with ottomans and player agency still stands
and don't get me started on migration, its nearly impossible as russia to russify even the areas that were historically russified without craftsman exploit (which you should get rid of by the way). A little example:
>The Russian authorities forced the migration of Romanians (Moldovans) to other provinces of the Russian Empire (especially in Kuban, Kazakhstan and Siberia), while foreign ethnic groups (especially Russians and Ukrainians, called in the 19th century "Little Russians") were encouraged to settle here. According to 1817-census, Bessarabia was populated by 86% Romanians (Moldovans), 6.5% Ukrainians, 1.5% Russians (Lipovans) and 6% other ethnic groups. 80 years later, in 1897, the ethnic structure was very different: only 56% Romanians (Moldovans), but 11.7% Ukrainians, 18.9% Russians and 13.4% other ethnic groups.

What's best country to play as if I want to forcefully balkanize European GPs?

...

Prussia, but instead of forming Germany only create the NGF and let the SGF form alone

>there is no player agency
It doesn't need to. Victoria 2 isn't a game about forcing pops to do what you want.

> other issues start to define which party they agree to.
As it should be. Pops don't have a single issue only.
I honestly don't see your point here.

>Point with ottomans
The main thing that drove the problems in the balkans was nationalism. If the ottomans were turkish the same thing would happen. The same thing happened to Yugoslavia.
What's the point here?

>and don't get me started on migration, its nearly impossible as russia to russify even the areas that were historically russified
Russia starts with closed borders. Use the immigration NF there and people will choose the place.

I will check it and decide on something but I think it would be better as a separate, irredentist claim, probably.

How did I do, /gsg/?

>conservative or liberal parties don't allow building of factories
>have to encourage capitalists to do the job
>they don't build a single canned food factory
>theres a global canned food shortage making me unable to expand my navy or military
>have to encourage socialists so i can build my own factories
>in 1906 the great colombian canned food revolution saves the world and ends the great canned food crisis
is it actually supposed to be in such short supply? i've never had this problem before

It has a lot of components.
It's hard to produce

Havent played HPM in a while what countries have had shit added to them?

Hey HPM, in game Chile has cores on Bolivia's sea provinces and Peru's southern tip, and the War of the Pacific that defines it's borders happens in the first few years of the game, this is completely ahistorical, the war around this time is the war of the confederation, out of which Chile's borders didnt change at all and only separated the PBC and won financial reparations. Chile also had no cores at all nor claims in those provinces, rather occupying them for economic reasons in the War of the Pacific around fifty years later. So the cores should be removed along with a war of the pacific event (including a secret peru bolivia pact against Chile) would make South America more historical.

Thinking of bringing colonial subjects into eurasia and africa in a game.
Get them up to their state limit to maximize the gain from provinces.
I think I can place two in africa without messing up trade nodes.
Not sure about a 3rd one in asia.
Siberia+White Sea and Lhasa are fine, it won't leech much trade if they have those.
After that I'm less sure though.
Yumen could be a problem.

Maybe Chengdu, Xi'an, maybe Girin.
Maybe Astrakhan.

>Russia starts with closed borders. Use the immigration NF there and people will choose the place.
I thought there was no colonial migration with closed borders?

internal migrations lad

What's the highest anyone here has ever developed a city?

Hey, man, original guy who you thought was, heh, "fabricating the truth" here, heh, fuck you, you snivelling piece of fucking shit. I told you about a dozen fucking times I wasn't lying and you still didn't believe me, you untrusting piece of shit. What the fuck happened to you to make you so suspicious of fucking nothing, you get raped by your dad? Oh no, wait, of course you didn't, because you're so fucking disgusting you couldn't even be raped. Fuck you. Fuck everything you've ever done. Do everybody who's ever interacted with you a favour and kill yourself, you don't need a gun, you don't need a noose, just get to a nice tall building, maybe go down your local town hall and leap off of it. Remove your stain from the Earth, you pathetic fucking parasite, and help improve the average.

>British Brazil

I can only dream

Maybe if you didn't conveniently forget to save I would have believed you.

None overseas. And the place isn't a colony.

I know. I will fix the War of the Pacific in the future and make proper events for it.

~100 is the boredom threshold.

Is the France minimod at all balanced?

Thanks.

I've only ever gotten one to 50.

In a competitive mp game I'm playing there's a guy with a 75 dev capitol, such a waste

No, but it's fun

Without spoiling too much, what are some of the things you can do? Any Napoleon shit?

I gave you my fucking word, and I never save saves from the entirety of my game because there's no point, you only need the most recent save, what the fuck do you do, start over from 30 years ago?

I asked for help, because I thought my game was fucked, I trusted you to help me, and instead you and half a dozen other malicious little cunts decided I was lying. You're everything wrong with humanity, you lack basic human empathy, you're essentially a serial killer.

Serial Killer requires a goldilocks zone of underdeveloped frontal lobes, a specific gene and a very rare type of upbringing.

Not him by the way, just a random autist being pedantic.

But I did try to help, I did everything I could. When I thought there was no logical answer I supposed you were lying.

Y-yeah, I suppose.. I'm just pissed off everybody thought I was lying when I knew for a fact I wasn't.
Still, now it happened to someone else at least I know my game isn't fucked.
Sorry about lashing out, lad, I had just woken up and hadn't taken my meds.

>brazilian RGOs

it always happens that i can never get canned food as some shitty unciv or a really weak civ at multiple points in the game because theres a shortage

thoughts on HFM, is it worth using with hpm

If you don't have all the asian countries allied or puppet then you should kill yourself.

It's alright, but vanilla hpm is better imo

what does it change thats significant

*changes to rubber*

Is anti-jacobin tract supposed to allow you to become an absolute kangdom?
Time to enslave the serfs.
Also, is your upper house supposed to be rearanged on coup? Because currently you keep your representational UH until Jan 1st.

Haven't checked the event files, but in the case of the Crimean crisis, you should make it as such that if the Principalities aren't united, Moldavia gets Budjak.

Might be a non-issue, but I remember receiving it as Wallachia in an older version of the mod.

I only have China and Mongolia.
None of the events fire after the Hawaii one.
I also have Australia.

What about Siberia?
It's a must.

Are slaves anything worth?
It seems that they are only good if you have like 50% of your RGOs as slaves and good tech.

So I finally managed to fully conquer this part of the Balkans. What's bad is that the Ottomans took the rest. What's worse than that is that they're now somehow allied to my other rival, Aragon, both of which have territory right next to me and will most likely attack me soon. If either of them does so, the other one is pulled into the war as well.

I believe that a good fleet can win a war against both of them at the same time (since Aragon will not be able to access Sicily while the Ottomans will not be able to pass into Europe from the blockade) so I picked Naval ideas and am about to start building harbors and a fuckload of Galleys. Hopefully that's enough because I literally can't do anything else against such a war

RP purposes. Sadly, I need S&G to do this.

how do you get so much reactionary support?

Russia never fell and they were the only ones who didn't want my blood.
I decided to harass the CSA instead, because they were amassing troops on the border and they looked scary.
I already had New England under controll, so I released Canada as a fully independent country and I created two spearheads and went down the coasts. CSA had a really bad army for some reason (1939 type units in 1948)

sned help

What mod gives that flag?

>fort maintenence

they are more productive than free pops, but they don't buy goods, so until you start industrializing you want to keep them

I said, the anti jacobin tract event. That's why I'm asking whether it's supposed to allow you to do this.

HPM?
