What do you guys do for a living?
Do you actually enjoy your job or are you just doing it to live?

Current a NEET. But plan on starting my own buisness pretty soon

Im a medfag. Its alright.

One call once a month, two weeks vacation out of the year, work 6-5. Pretty cushy working at a rural hospital in Commiefornia. Salary ain't bad either.

>>Plan to start business

highschool fag detected

Freight Broker Agent, I enjoy it because it's okay money if you're any good at being a salesman. Downside is you're surrounded by a bunch of cucks that settle for shit deals and envy shame you for being an aggressive salesman.

I'm a NEET with no prospects.

My NEETbucks are gonna run out this year though, so I'm going to have to get a job at fucking walmart or something for the rest of my life. Not really looking forward to that but oh well, I chose this path through apathy.

Dishwasher in foreign country, making 3 times the amount of what I would get for a middleclass job at home. Ofc. the living costs are higher, but Im trying to be frugal and save something up, reading and watching tons of stuff about buttcoin before I consider investing.

Voice Actor.

I constantly swing between hating my life and really enjoying what I do.
Part of it is that I'm primarily an audiobook guy.

I spend 2 hours recording each hour of footage.
Then, I spend an equal amount of time editing.

So 1 hour of footage takes me 3 hours to complete.

Start community college now

I served in Iraq for two years as a US Army infantryman. I collect a disability check from the VA for $2915 a month and I trade stocks on the side. I made 50% profit last year. Am I doing good?

I've been out of university for 3 years now - graduated in mining and mineral processing engineering. Now I'm an Engineer-in-Training working at a metallurgical start-up. Things are slow and boring. I don't really have the mentorship that I need at this point in my career and the pay isn't as high as what other jobs could offer me, but the hours and freedom are pretty nice.

It's okay. Looking for other work, though.

Am currently investment banker, it's a fun job, and I like making money doing it. Definitely not what I had in mind 4 years ago, but since I have excellent social skills was able to climb the ladder very quickly.

>Be 20
>Get hired as teller
>Be a fantastic salesman
>Develop great connections with partners, particularly investment banking partner
>Continue to sell at great rate
>Become personal banker in 6 months
>Start doing night college while being personal banker to learn more about investment products
>Continue to cultivate friendship with Investment banking partner
>After a year of me referring him amazing clients, he takes me on as basically an apprentice
>Follow up on about half his referrals, and if the person is interested, call him in so he can make the deal
>Do this for about 2 years until I get my degree
>Get my degree 4 months ago, am now investment banker making base salary of 150k with commissions putting it up to about 250-350 based on sales
>Very large upward potential, happy doing the work I am doing, am considering going to an ivy league school and then maybe going to a big firm, but I like where I live and live very comfortably on what I make, so may not
>Also, don't want to pay the price of living in a city like New York
>Also would not want to raise a family there
>Yeah, I'll probably stay here
>I really enjoy what I do since I talk to people and make them happy with the money they make.

work as a programmer for a large social network

I like my job and I do pretty well for myself

Haven't started a career yet. Still in college, working part time as a dishwasher right now, starting a paid internship this summer.

I run two small businesses, the power is overwhelming. Plan to soon start taking on wives (no state marriage licenses) mormon style. Wish me luck biz.

I also, invested most of my savings account from my bar mitzvah money back in 2013 before bitcoin went to the moon so I have a lot of savings too.

>Inb4 oy vey

I work for a broker, make sure their shit doesn't explode/burn down & the money+data keeps moving.

Not specialized enough in networking, programming, security, etc. to move up for now, but it's a comfy position even with shitty shifts.

Just trying not to get stuck.

I work at a HFT firm. It's great.

Just started in internal audit for a big firm, working towards an accountancy qualification. money's not great at the moment (uk) but good progression prospects

How many hrs do you work?

Project Solutions Analyst Manger

Forklift driver

Stock Broker at a firm

>What do you guys do for a living?
I am a human traficker.
>Do you actually enjoy your job or are you just doing it to live?
It has it's ups and downs. Of course I do it to live.

How are you going to get into an Ivy League school, shlomo

XRAY technologist. 35 an hour and 403b. Gives me time to do stocks in the AM. Moving to CT to get 40 bucks an hour. MRI is 50+

>I really enjoy what I do since I talk to people and make them happy with the money they make.

Don't kid yourself. You are creating financial derivatives nobody really needs. Your IOs and POs and CDOs or whatever you are going to call it create misery and mayhem in the end. History will not remember you.

Customer service for a mutual fund company. It pays the bills and right now I'm just waiting until I can apply somewhere in the company more relevant to my degree

I am an affiliate marketer, make about 350-500k/year (depending on how hard i work). Before I used to work at a hospital making only about 70k/year. Never thought I'd be making this much, but I honestly enjoy the freedom way more than the money. Being able to wake up any time I want (despite the times I have to stay up late to chat with people across the world) and being to work and travel where I want is priceless. It wasn't easy at all doing it and I lost alot of money learning it, almost gave up many times since it was getting a bit stressful working a full time job at the same time. Now I have another company being formed, working on an app. Never give up on your dreams guys. Don't chase the money, itll come when you least expect it.

Does anyone here work in HR or work as a recruiter?

If so is it something you would want someone to go into? I'm 23 and I'm pretty lost in life. I do have some college exp, but I don't really like it, so I might end up dropping out.

I'm thinking hr/recruiter might be nice.
Is this a good idea?

What's your hourly pay? Any samples of your work?

>I collect a disability check

What happened?

No one likes school you dingus, part of the reason people hire motherfuckers with a degree is because they know that person can put up with some shit.
Stay in school, bitch about it when you get out.

how long did it take you to learn and be successful

I started late 2014 and I'd say in the beginning of 2016 I started doing very well. There weretimes before that where I was making good money, but it was inconsistent. I wouldnt be where I am at without the people I met at conferences. Its not easy, takes alot of time and dedication. It was an emotional roller coaster throughout the journey, I am just glad I didnt give up. Tbh, it was thanks to Veeky Forums that got me into it, I am sure you can find an archive of the old thread. It was some guy who was showing off all the money he made and gave out info. Most people didnt believe him, but he said that not many will believe it, not many will try and if they do, very few would succeed. Wish I could hear from that dude again, but dont think I ever saw him post another thread, he changed my life. I hope that maybe some info I gave in the aff marketing thread on this board can help and affect one persons life like it did mine.

>What do you guys do for a living?
shitcoin magician
>Do you actually enjoy your job or are you just doing it to live?
it was fun, how hopefully i wont have to do it for much longer.

I fell for the STEM meme and work as a scientist in a national lab.

The pay is shite but I do it for the love of s c i e n c e

Rentier. Its not much, but its enough to not worry about getting a dayjob. Currently trying to settle with family so I can buy my own flats. Short-term rentals will bring in more monthly income and who knows, perhaps Ill even get laid.

37.5 a week so actually really decent. We work on client site mainly so when they leave at 5, 5:30 so do we, haven't had a single day past 6 so far and I've been there 1.5 months

How did you get into that? What kind of degree? Sounds good

Security. Make a little over $15/hr USD.. Take home almost $2k a month.

All I do is walk around, bs with my co workers and do a bit of Walmart style greeting at the front doors. Easiest job I've ever had.

But I will give this advice guys... Blackjack dealers at a casino make FUCKING BANK... On slow days you're making maybe $14/hour just in tips.. All the way up to $20/hour, all on top of your base pay. You're talking $24-30 an hour. So you make $50-60k a year just to deal cards. Easy ass money.

>moving to ct to get an extra 5 bucks an hour and pay higher taxes

Have fun making less money. That state is shit

I have a career in the service business. I work as a cashier and I love my job.

what?

Sales Manager at a car dealership.

I love the job but I hate the hours. As a whole I genuinely don't know if I love it or not.

Money is pretty sweet tho.

I manage my own construction business, It is really demanding but I do like it because I can set my own goals and work on my own terms.

I may have those threads saved. Could you give a recap of your climb to your current success?

a trader

Any build pics

deliver food for Uber

hate it but love it

shagged two customers so far + talking to possibly my future gf that chats with me while I WAIT 10 FUCKING MINUTES FOR THE RESTAURANT TO MAKE THE ORDER WHEN IT SUPPOSED TO BE READY!

ganbate user-san

jokes aside, do this

>get a entry level job
>work hard
>get experience
>get ascended or find a new job
>study or take classes about something you like and/or about investing
>keep working, keep learning, keep improving, keep making money

it's the only way user.

>"what job?"

anything entry level: flipping burgers, janitor, military, labor, assistant, call center.

don't give up user.

>investment banker
>commissions
>talk to people and make them happy with the money they make

what you're doing is not investment banking...

I'm a plumber. I have a university degree in accounting, but I hated the work and office culture horseshit. I genuinely enjoy working with my hands and I make great money. I'm currently working for someone else but I plan on going into business for myself within 5-10 years. I'm happy with my life.

nice, how about the money? is it good? is it physical demanding?

Originally I studied medicine, but I think its dead end in the US market...

I run micro buisnesses, currently studying for a CDL because I want to move into car transportion. I think I have the experience to be succesful.

Eventually I may stay in America or posibly move to an Asian climate because I have a problem with googles.

my life story.

what specialty?

nice man, gg

I think he means a CT scanner. Seems like the progression of imaging anyway.

XR>CT>MRI

>8
I live in Australia and there's literally no entry level jobs here.

Studying medicine now, but getting the same feeling. How'd you find an out, did you start your businesses when you were a resident, attending? I wanna know there's a door when I need it.

no shit, I live in a third world country in southamerica and there are entry level jobs

do not make excuses, user.

Engineer. Oil & gas.

I love ruining the environment.

lmao u should research what investment banking actually is

Anyone that enjoys their job isn't actually working.

That's the spirit bro.

Unemployed engineer with dreams of ruining the environment.

How many years did you to work as a low level salesman before getting promoted to manager?

Wage of an entry salesmen? Current wage now? Location?

I know lots of questions; sounds like a sweet deal to me compared with my current 8-5 in AP

How hard is it to get the job?

NEET but own quite a few bitcoins

Mother passed away 12 yrs ago and father's health isn't too good, and I live in his house

I fully expect the btc price to "correct" and we'll eventually enter a boring stage like 2014 but I think I have enough bitcoins where I won't have to wagecuck too much in the future

I have heard that pipelines, no matter what are bad, that they will always have leaks, and even small leaks will spew out hundreds of gallons of oil.

Is this true?

Boss man will give you props if you can...
Choose one:
Increase revenues
Reduce inefficiencies (ie costs)

Everything else is just vanity...

I am idea man 30k

Keep up the dream, brother. The market is going up now, so get on board soon.

Not working on transcontinental pipelines, but yes, a single loss of containment would be a result in a large release of oil/product.

But, it's like comparing a car accident vs plane crash. Many more people die in car crashes each year than by plane crash.

Trucks/trains are the cars in the oil logistics world. Pipelines are the planes. And when there's someone in the world that's buying your oil, you're going to want to move it regardless of if there's a pipeline or not.

So fuck it, I'm just ruining the environment, right? Screw pipelines. Transport everything by trains going 20 miles over the speed limit on a curve.

I work as a bill collector. I get cursed at all day and listen to sad stories of financial struggle. It pay good and I don't hate it it just gets repetitive I've been calling a lot of the same people for months lol

Software developer, with a focus in security research. I love it. R&D is the shit. Just trying to save that money and make some on the side so I can retire early af.

I currrently work as a Legal Archavist for medium sized law firm making £35 K a year.

Been doing it for 3 years now and im starting to get the kind of itch that can only be scratched by some more progression in my work.

Currently trying to figure out what the next logical step in my career would be though, Im currently content in what I am doing but dont want to get complacent and find myself in a rutt another year or so down the line

Will oil prices going up to 60 from 50 really bring in that many jobs?

>I work as a cashier and I love my job.
Said no one ever.

Yo I graduating with a kinesiology bs in a couple months, have some experience doing ECGs. Any leeway for my kind? I heard the xray tech schools are very competitive.

>Trade commodities and equities
>Own/manage rental property
Everyone should enjoy their career at least 60% of the time

Anesthesia.

work-from-home codefag.

i've been asking myself this very question for about 10 years. i'm a pro gambler, and it's not very rewarding other than having a lot of money and free time.

Help out a fellow user so i can remember you in the same light u remember that guy

how's the job market looking with CRNA's? I can never tell

Honest opinion: It's starting to get saturated. Hospitals want more CRNAs cause they are cheaper, so basically some hospitals have a ratio of 1:6 anesthetists to CRNAs. However quality goes down. I feel bad for my more senior colleagues, they get calls all the time for CRNAs screwing up. Personally I'd prefer a smaller ratio.

computer engineer.. make 150k/yr + benefits + 30k bonus. i'm 24.

went to college in canada, was basically free, came back to us..now i'm making more then any doctor and i work 25-30 hours a week.. unless its a project deadline then i could put in 60+ those are only 3-4 times a year though.

Doctors and med students are the biggest pricks i've met, they honestly think they're better then everyone

Starting university soon.
Want to do something involving business/large-scale financial management for companies or something involving involving international business.
No clue what I should major in though, thinking economics, finance, or getting an MBA. What's my best option?

>enjoying wagecucking
haha faggots have fun working for your jewish overlords while I ride ethereum to the moon

>Chef
>minimum wage
>6 days a week

i don't just hate it, not one day goes by without the thought of suicide comes into my mind.

it's a drag and so tiring both mentally and physically.
Hopefully it will get better once i move into better positions and places, i'm in it all for the money not the cookie cutter 'passion' bullshit.

LOL

nice roleplay

investment bankers don't sell financial products you fucking idiot. and unless you're a VP or higher, you aren't even seeing the client.

>went to school to learn about 'investment products'
>believes this is what investment bankers would study, not corp. finance and valuation models

i dont even know how pathetic your life has to be to make up a fantasy where you're living some dream life centred around a career you'll never have.

He found Veeky Forums

Retail. CS Major. I did so shit in college that I'm wondering if it's even worth it. But I'm close to finishing so Idk.

I really just want a good paying job so that I can start investing in Real Estate.

Im a fresh-out-of-college dentalfag, working my 5th month in a third world European country currently making ~2200 EUR per month (steadily rising monthly due to fast gained experience) in a country where the average salary is 750 EUR.
I really love the job, i work only 6 hours daily (but i take extra days for extra cash flow), but i dont see myself sticking here for long - once i get enough experience i will fuck off to Germany or England and make 5x more while doing twice as less work.

Network Engineer

How do you live with yourself?

Dude do a trade, plumbing, electric, etc...

You'll start at at least 14/hr and go nowhere but up

I do ultrasounds. Work in a public hospital and I'm not a doctor, so I only make $65k or so a year (live in Western Europe).

Kinda like it, meet new people every day, some are interesting to talk to. You never know what weird disease you might find. Saved a few lives by going the extra mile i guess (we're talking like one or two people from like 4000 scans). Maybe doomed a bunch of others by missing something..

Friendly work environment, I'm hardly ever stressed out.
