What if there was a rotting mechanic? Things like flies and maggots making a corpse fester? Wouldn't work with no atmosphere, but I'd imagine flies would still be around the station

Hell, add a secret feature where if you're teleported the same time as a fly, you'll steadily corrupt a-la 'The Fly'

Bagel bar is great, even if I do hate the diner pattern with a passion. Easiest to revamp though, no tedious prying up of floorboards and replacing them and then painting and all that shit. Just paint and done, for the most part.

There's no sanity on cockroaches. They don't actually consume the food, they just keep tapping at it, increasing its toxin content, spawning eggs, and it makes an endless cycle of heck.

With flies, you'd probably at best have an overlay of sorts rather than a mob, maybe an infection datum for rotting limbs infested with fly maggots.
