It really depends on what they do with it. id isn't shilling very well and can't get their shit together balance wise. The hope is they give it the D44M treatment, they shilled that hard enough and it did pretty well. /v/ still shitposts about it and had they actually got snapmap right and made combat less linear I would be playing .WADs on it right now. But the best we get is a level or two.

It is very similar to what Capcom did with SFV, rather than wait for the game to be complete they forced it out so they could make it in time for EVO.
They should've at least had a cinematic trailer at E3 instead we got BJ and an announcement that id has poured 1mil into a prizepool but not netcode.

Pro tip: read your writing a few times before posting. You will win arguments as long you don't write like a retard.
just always try to maximize your chances in the fights, this means getting stacked on hp/ap, getting necessary weapons for different situations, having good position / escape routes;
to do all of that efficiently you gotta be fast
when it comes to the fight itself, generally lg works the best against tanks, it melts them really fast and is easy to track with on the big hitbox, if your aim is good you can also switch to supershotgun/rail/rocket to finish them off when they're low; rocket launcher is real fucken iffy right now but good for spam and splash damage (be sure your rocket placement is also good and you're actively aiming with it and not spraying'n'praying); railgun only if you have cover, are far away or to finish someone off;
to not get killed by things get as much of a stack you can and don't jump when dodging (unless you're jumping away from rockets or above them), this makes you very easy to track/hit
you said you dodge right into rockets but how can that happen if you dodge depending on where the rocket is going?
you didn't really give that much info but i think you should focus on going fast, escaping bad fights and recovering quickly after them
that being said tdm can be absolutely retarded a lot of the time, especially with the spawns and your team, i topscore among both teams almost every match but still lose due to a 1 - 28 nyx on my team, so don't worry about it - think of why you died at that moment and what you could do differently
QC having so many issues currently makes it hard. But to answer your question: keep playing, watch guides in the OP, finally I personally enjoy Rapha's stream and he explains things pretty well. Maybe also check out previous Quake championships specifically Q3 ones casters explain shit pretty well.

the more you play the better you'll get at keeping track of enemy stack and predicting movement. that's something you cant learn out of game.
(but you can learn how to rotate around a map for pickups and control their timers which is big plus)
