Post modern cars that aren't pigfat

is there hope for this world, Veeky Forums?

Isn't that over 3500lbs? The Viper ACR is similar but only 3300lbs.

Its a very small car by today's standards though, regardless of weight.

You first

OP said pigfat though

Miata
BRZ/86
Some Lotus cars
Some euro/jap only cars

That just makes it worse. A 500 Abarth is pigfat because it's heavy as fuck for its size too.

To be fair it's more like an Indian car that's also sold in Australia and Europe, but
>Curb weight 870–970 kg (1,918.0–2,138.5 lb)
How can you not like it?

What is pig fat?
I find 1500-1600kg to be the ideal weight for me.
Good enough for cornering and feels stable at higher speeds (above 120mph/200kmh)

...

Caterham 7
BAC mono
Literally any sport bike

>Post modern cars
>Literally any sport bike

>post cars

#justnamefagthings

...

...

sports bikes only got fatter and heavier dude

...

Unecessarily big unlike the AMG-GT

>Unecessarily
No, they're big because they need to actually be fast, unlike the gutless merc.

>Veeky Forums's answer is literally "sportsbikes and hypercars"

AMG GTR looks like a green beetle desu

An AMG-GT wouldn't see which way an Exige went around a track desu

They won't even post the weight on the MB site itself.

It's probably because different options and trims affect the weight, though it would be better to show a range from minimum to max.

options you dumb nigger

Wut?

>CBR900R (1992)
453lb wet
>CBR1000RR (2017)
449lb wet
>CBR600F2 (1991)
>455lb wet
>CBR600RR (2017)
>410lb wet

AMG GT base models are really handsome, well proportioned cars. But the riced models with spoilers and sideskirts 'n shit ruin it imo.

I nominate the 991, because despite the bloat it's still compact and nimble enough to work on a twisty road, there's a manual and a Carrera 2 without any fancy options is below 1500kg.

Which is alright compared to other modern 'sports' coupes

They're the lightest and have the most powerful they've ever been you dunce

1495 kg
3295 lbs

...

>Implying that's not pigfat
This Alfa looks light but I can't recall how much it weighed

bout 950kg fully fueled with all liquids afaik

The new Lotus Evora looks pretty nice. Would probably be my first choice in that price range.

Its fat for a modern lotus though.

>Viper ACR is similar

Why are modern cars generally so fat is it like safety or some sheet

the bmw weighs the same as e46 coupes which is impressive with all the new safety standards

yes it is for safety purposes. they keep the hoods very high now. i think low hoods demolish peoples legs or something when they hit pedestrians. though not sure why the trunks are also so high now, except maybe its aesthetics to match the front

What is the most pigfat sports car out there?

Going from a ~3100 lbs Accord coupe to a 2700lbs Fiesta is a huge difference, because the accord is wide as fuck, and the fiesta is narrow as fuck

Chevelle SS 454 or Gran Torino comes to mind

go ride a 90s bike, m8. They're bricks

tarbo is 1600kg but corners like dream

id take snek anyday tho because muhh madmanmobile

...

which one would you recommend? the accord has to be nicer than a fiesta

any lotus

2017 model.

that's as heavy as a volvo v70 wagon

Good choice sir.

Mine probably weighs in around 3300 lbs, 20” sport design wheels, Burmester audio, sports exhaust and chrono, aero kit cup adding some to the 3,040lb base model weight.

Not modern but looking at this thread
>tfw drive 2005 Focus ZX3
>that 1600 lb curb weight

Not the lightest but it's fine. Tossable and tight as fuck.

recent german "R" things make me incredibly aroused and a bit sad that i'm poor
>you will never own amg gt R
>you will never own amazing 911 R
>you won't even own polo R

so that's what my father felt when in the eighties he saw all of those 4wd deltas s4 and 205 t16 and all he could own was golf gti

Pretty sure that Polo R WRC was some ultra-limited special and basically unattainable for most people anyway.

Think you've got your calcs wrong there, 2600lb?

...

I know it doesn’t have an R in the name but there’s always the new 991.2 GT3 Touring, a 911R for the (relative) poors.

I’m going back and forth between that and a CPO 991.1 Targa GTS to replace my yellow 991.

high speed stability only depends on aero, since downforce impact is proportional to car weight

1.5 tons is insanely fucking fat

>Worse autotragic BRZ

Get this trash out of the thread

>1t of mass
>250hp
>worse
get yourself out of the thread

>manual isn't even an option
>twice as expensive
>french
Yeah it's fucking worse.

>Actually defending that pile of dogshit

Hello Alpine shill, you'll fit in nicely next to the Kia shills

Miatas
Porsches
The twins
Lotuses

On a side note why the fuck is the RX8 so heavy? The Renesis weighs next to nothing compared to piston engines

>On a side note why the fuck is the RX8 so heavy?
Four doors and four seats probably had something to do with it.

...

>FR
>long hood
>big engine
>track focused
>similar price
You retarded m8?

Yeah probably that sounds more correct. Still light as a feather by modern standards.

From what I've read, the new Snek is actually pretty nice to drive while the GTR is a loosy goosy madman car.

911, cayman, anything lotus, m2/m3/m4

looks like a fucking bug, but its not pig fat.

>not pig fat
it's literally wider than a range rover

What is the consensus year for "modern"? What's the over/under year,m?

Sick meme dude. Bikes are becoming lighter than ever, the non-faired bikes in particular. Take a look at the ktm smc 690 r, with a couple of simple mods you can get it down to 120kg with ~75 hp

I wish it had a manual but
>lighter
>MR

it's like a sexy elise

Jaguar F type are least gets an honorable mention.

>small two seater coupe
>All aluminum body
>Still tips the scales at over 4000 pounds for the AWD R model

I honestly don't understand how they did it.

Doors make sense but the rear seats are mostly padded chassis
It's probably the most practical sports car you can get for under 5k though, it's the only car whose back seat I can fit into with the driver's/front passenger's seat pushed all the way back (inb4 manlet, 5'11)

The ZC31 only has 125bhp, but it's about 120kg lighter than a Fiesta ST. I'd buy another one of these in a heartbeat despite the lack of power.

How the hell can you compare that to a BRZ? Holy fuck amerifats are so dumb.

>5'11
so you're a manlet then

>they some how managed to make a 2 door rwd V6 sports car as heavy as a V6 Challenger on a platform from 95’

R.I.P sharp styling and actual old rounded cars that weren't pigfat

But I'm not American, faggot. I'm sorry the pride of your country is a piece of shit

king of manlets*
