When they're out of their related auto group, use outdated/older technology, and/or make the car handle worse/add weight.

Once they change their layout, make, type (piston/rotary), etc.. Also, if the new engine is smaller than the old engine (cylinder count, not displacement).

Example: swapping out an LS for a 2JZ-GTE.
>different make
>different configuration
>less cylinders

When people choose form over function. Like cutting the body to make room for stupid fat tires like in op's pic without adding additional structural support.

When you take a nice well balanced classic car like a 240z and put a v8 into it.

3SGE AE86 swaps have been done forever. that specific owner looks like while the car s fully functional, he wanted to do it in style. And there is nothing wrong with that. It looks great.

I agree, I just posted it because it looks nice. post engine porn or cringe

>implying putting a VK in an S30 would be significantly heavier if at all to an L and wouldn't make it handle better

I hate to say it but an LS would be better in both regards

>ywn have an OS Giken TC24B1Z powered akuma no zetto

here's a BEAMS 3SGE NA Miata

>OS Giken TC24B1Z

Absolutely Halal

What if it makes the car unequivocally better than when it started?

it makes me cringe for some reason. THEY HAVE TO BE RELATED
/autism

Why though?

i don't like it when the body and engine aren't "family"

Yeah, but what's the harm if it keeps an otherwise garbage vintage camaro out of the scrap yard?

there isn't but LS

>vintage camaro out of the scrap yard?
the engine swap had nothing to do with keeping it out of the junkyard

>meme swap

I suppose if you're a braindead also-ran follower.

GM couldn't keep their Xerox Mustang in production for the duration. There has to be a reason.

What if the swap corrects deficiencies with the car.

For example, changing it from an unstable deathtrap to an acceptable car.

but is it in-brand?

Corvairs are great cars, only retards think they are death traps.

how does thhis guy stop dirt from being flung into the air intake headers when the engine bay is open and it has no protective wheel wells

what does that have to do with keeping a old camaro out of the scrapyard?

kys old engines on new shells is the best shit ever

Last I checked the Corvair wasn't made by Subaru.

>Corvairs are great cars
>If you don't mind the back end getting swapped for the front while you're driving it.

I don't understand why anyone would be upset when a car can be saved and public safety improved by replacing a dangerous car with a safe one.
