Not really focusing much on the houses right now, just trying to get people in.

Soon. I've downloaded the ARPG source and am currently compiling prefixes and affixes directly exported from Diablo 2 LoD .mpqs.
Kevin Peterson
I love you user Now if only enemy prefixes worked too
William Butler
Time to add in champions and mini boss groups, too.
Owen Roberts
Can they use existing sprites? Or do you have to copy the sprites over into the mod? I don't know much about modding Terraria. Example "this is skellychamp, use skeleton sprites from the game directory"
Alexander Thompson
I don't. I'll see if I can add effects to the sprites like dyes and similar without the use of the shader mod. Probably can.
Jayden Jones
Thanks, I've been wondering that for a while. Ganbatte Diablochan
Is there a mod that replaces the Ocean Biome song with "Ocean Man"?
Connor Jones
Haven't played terraria in about six months, and never tried the big mods out. Is thorium, spirit, calamity and crystilium a good combo? Also what other mods are worth looking into? Any good RPG style ones?
Sebastian Nelson
Wouldn't that get annoying after a while?
Nicholas Price
How often do you visit the ocean biome, really?

Do you guys like minecraft

After careful consideration, I came to the conclusion that the simple auto-chests mod might be slightly overpowered
Jace Clark
What is it?
Gabriel Brooks
>Simple Auto Chest is the only mod out that lets you craft obsidian furniture god damn it
It looks like cheating. I'd rather have the ability to buy bait etc than that.
Evan Bailey
Literal shit that somehow keeps getting worse and worse each update
It's very fun with mods tho
Caleb Walker
I haven't been able to get into it even with modpacks. It's just such a convoluted fucking mess that no amount of mods can solve it. I have to go through several fucking encyclopediae worth of information to get even somewhat proficient at the mods, too. The last I "played" it I was just fucking around with shaders and using it to learn them better.
Xavier Brooks
There are quest modpacks that guide you through mods
Camden Rogers
The modded scene is just very focused on automation and building, and not for everyone, it does indeed involve some reading, but most mods have adopted ingame encyclopedias, which make it easier, and once you get the hand of it, it's quite intuitive
Vanilla just sucks hard, don't even bother with it unless you want to fuck around with friends
If you want to kill lots of bosses and explore in a voxel-based world, you are in the right place :^)

>mods for mods for mods based on an engine based on a mod of Notch's dead dream I fucking hate tutorials with a passion.
I remember when Notch came to /v/. Now it's just Microshaft raping the same dead corpse over and over.
Robert Martin
At some point MC became completely impossible to play without mods for me, I have no idea how some people can stand playing vanilla all day

But you can improve. Try making a living wood tree with leafs around the houses, get rid of indoor trapdoors, use different blocks/walls, create some random furniture and place them. And stop being a 12 years old
Elijah Phillips

overloader combines with various things to spawn like a shitload of eyes of cthulu or skeletrons
it is a GREAT way to make a shitload of plat a night one you have a decent enough weapon to disintegrate those bossses

favorite/least favorite class to play as? modded classes apply.
Julian Roberts
So, uh, what's this Veeky Forums waifus 0.2 mod about? What does it do?
Aaron Martinez
>Favorite Tied between Ranged and Bard. Ranged has a nice variety of weapons with many purposes, and I still love mowing down everything with bullets galore. Bard's fun as fuck in multiplayer thanks to its support capabilities, and it ends up being able to pack a punch DPS-wise between late pre-hardmode and most of hardmode. >Least Favorite Summoning. Great for farming, but it's just an overall lazy class with very few action regarding the character beyond being able to focus on dodging more than any other class. Not only that, it's a bitch to use until Post-Moon Lord where you won't be able to use your new tools unless you've installed mods.
Aiden Lee
Any decent RPG/leveling mods out there? Did anyone try Rockos ARPG?

Beach Town is coming along nicely. Added some definition to the buildings. I like how the walkways turned out
Jaxon Brooks
The problem with melee is that it has too low dps for how close you have to get to the enemy I think that the classes were designed to all deal around the same amount of damage. While this works for magic and ranged, it doesn't work for melee and summoner. Melee is very risky, especially early game, because you have to get close to the enemy in order to deal damage, while when using something like a bow, you can stay away from enemies, avoiding contact damage, and also deal the same, if not more, damage than if you were using a melee weapon. With summoner, it's the opposite. You can devote pretty much all or your time to dodging, but you also deal significantly less damage than the other classes until you get really late game There are certain other melee weapons that try to fix the problem with melee, such as the flails and boomerangs. However, the downside to these is their low attack speed, which leads to even less damage When you get into hardmode, there are some weapons that fix this with some swords firing out beams every swing and certain weapons like the Shadowflame knife. However, at that point, you might as well just be playing ranged or mage. I feel like melee should be a high risk/reward class, where you still have to get close to the enemy, but you do more damage than the other classes, even if just by a little bit. Other armors or accessories can help reduce the risk factor of melee, like adding a block function to shields or something. tl;dr Classes should be based on a risk/reward factor, with melee having high risk/reward and mage/ranged somewhere in the middle. And summoning should just be restricted to a subclass

What game is it?

Cube world I think

Diablochan's Terraria mod :^)
Jaxon Perez
Basically. This and Terraria 2 with otherworld are the only games I'm genuinely excited for, even though it will probably be years before I can even get a taste of them.
