It crashed hard a lot faster than it should have. This number decline is pretty normal but not at this speed and I'm guessing its because a lot of the MMO crowd has been through enough games now to know when something is just too fucked to stay around for, so there's a lot less people willing to hang on for longer than it used to be
Most if not all? Every MMO opens with a lot of hype and people flood the servers to the point that there are queue times and no one can even get in. Then either the game opens even more servers to let everyone in at that time or just keeps them small and lets people sit in lines (Tera did that I remember).

Then the casuals fall off pretty fast, usually after the first 3 or 4 months. From there on out more and more people leave for whatever reasons whether its boredom realizing that MMOs are in fact very grindy, over their friends leaving, not being able to ever find a good guild, not agreeing with the companies choices, etc. The game then lowers its number of servers and stabilizes at a much smaller number than it began with.

Looks like it launched too big for its shoes really. Not even the devs was really ready for how big it could've been. Sadly like all asian mmos it crashed and burned due to hand rubbing and just got awful developer support with insane wait times for basic features. (an entire year for spectator mode LOL)
