Forza Horizon 3 or Dirt 4 (or both)? Pros/cons? I liked Dirt 3 a lot, haven’t really played any of the Forza games. Going to get it on Xbox 1, I need something to tide me over until I have the time and money to dedicate to IRL racing.

Thanks user, but the "repair" is already complete and aside from losing the 10-15% of the maximum input(which I will adjust in settings to compensate) it actually has a much more sturdy and progressive load feel similar to a real car.

Probably because it's still based on the arcade physics engine in other Dirts. The physics of each category is designed specifically for those tracks and would be weird on other tracks

ultimate gets you the first 6(?) car packs which were ok/good and vip which gives you loadsamoney which is nice. it really depends on the price. it doesnt include the expansions so beware. if youre getting an expansion id personally recommend hotwheels just for the novelty

This. The problem is that it's just so rare to come across. Some races I've had were better than any race I ever had on any public AC server. But most aren't.
Then again, rammers in Forza don't really piss me off. What does is just the general instability of the game itself

i disagree because ghost races just turn into hotlapping with leaderboard cars whereas you can hold a position with a fwd civic if things go ok in a contact race. i couldnt use that civic in non contact because it just isnt competitive
the rammers dont annoy me as much as the fact that t10 has made no effort to try and combat it despite years of complaints

Anyone else feel like they screwed up the sound on this? It makes almost no noise below 5000RPM, I know it's not a big deal but it's kind of an immersion breaker when heel toeing.

That's because the locked ones are the ones with the Rocket Bunny or Liberty Walk or whatever widebodykits. Same thing with the Aventador. The SV is not locked, the regular one is locked and the regular one is the one with the widebody.
But there are some other cars that are in the game twice and for some reason the older and/or slower version is almost always the one locked eventhough it doesn't have any unique features or upgrades, atleast as far as I'm aware of

2bh lad this makes literally no sense in terms of game, system, or software design. it would be reasonable if the cars performed poorly, as would be expected from doing silly shit like taking tarmac-tuned GT cars to bumpy-ass rallycross circuits, but it's silly to assume the cars would literally not work in that the game-as-software would malfunction

I've only been not-depressed enough to report in to work because I've given up on everything I enjoy, including playing racing games 2bh. Even when I can wrangle some people to come out with me to play Forza, they don't even bother trying, and it's clearly just a pretext. A pretext for what, I don't know, maybe just having me around out of habit? I barely invite people to go do whatever with me anyomre because I know it'll fail, and even if it doesn't, the night won't be any fun, no one will want to do anything I wanna do, and in the off chance they share any interest at all, they're just going to make fun of my tastes and skill level no matter what. I can put all the assists on and set it to auto transmission, and I'm a shitter scrub, I set everything off and put on manual with clutch and I'm a retard because there isn't an analog button left for the clutch petal so I'm being dishonest. Meanwhile, they run with all the assists on, still lose, call it hard, and blame me for not making it fun. I explain how to drive with the shit off, and how whatever particular game we're playing interprets inputs, and they still blame me for their inability to drive. It's obvious they never were having fun and won't have fun with this, but they don't have any other suggestions, and even if I bring non-racers, and physical dice, or just myself and beer, it's all still never going to be good enough. And the same happens with everything else, biking, shooting, anything. My skill level is always both too low and yet very fradulent and pretentious, and trying to reach out is belligerent
