Main thing is I could have been using a better bow maybe even slightly better than what I've got now 4-5 days ago, for a pittance.

How do people manage to play through cruel/some of merciless without wanting to die?
My damage feels like it ends up in the trash the second I hit tower of god every time.
I want to hit racing speeds while leveling but at that point it just feels awful, until I hit like 60, then builds seem to just -click-, but the entire time from 26(ish) to 60 is just constantly slow feeling.
Is there any build that manages to go fast from like start of act 2 onwards?

if you make your weapon from recipe or are lucky when rolling, youll have an empty slot for a spell damage enchant from catalina, the a2 master you can invite to your hideout

played ice spear up until about 80 in the beta.

the not having to path to the perce nodes is nice, but i still can't make it work. With the bosses new higher HP switching out to single target spear is just garbage.

I think you underestimate how much ES gear got nerfed. I played around on PoB and it was noticeably difficult to get to 8k es.

The Vaal pact nerf is big enough I feel like it empowers scion to grab slayer ascendancy.

"life leech is not removed at full life" doesn't apply to ES leech

there should be a Unique that lets you dual wield shields, and a skill gem that scales with armor value

Vaal Pact can very easily be fixed by making the RATE instant, but leaving the leech cap alone.

Say you do 10,000 damage, say you have 2,000 health. Standard leech cap is 20% of your health per second, so it would be 400 health/second. Current Vaal Pact removes the cap entirely.

How about Vaal Pact instead grants a 100% "more" bonus to leech cap (so 40% at base) and makes leech instant. So this would mean in the scenario above, you can INSTANTLY leech 800 health, but not instantly full.

If you add in Hematophagy (5%) and Vitality Void (5%), together with the 100% "more" bonus, this would bring your leech cap to 60%, so 1200 health out of 2000 health instantly.

maybe thats because there aren't as many safe forms of mitigation compared to leech and non VP leech completely fucking sucks dick.

removing/nerfing VP isn't good for the game unless it comes with many other general rebalances which i have no faith in GGG to make. removing it for ES was bad enough.
