When did it all go so wrong?

When did it all go so wrong?

Except it didn't????

Looks like it went wrong a while back but it's better now.

Early 2000s. It was in full swing by the mid 2000s. Peak contemporary aesthetics = late 80s

Both are decent cars for what they strive to do.

You spelled "right" wrong. Mercedes is fucking beast mode. Every taxi in the world is one.
But the difference is, that European cars are good and well known because they're actually good. Not because some Hollywood jew told you to like them

Thinking about buying a 95 e180 seden. What should I expect?

The fuck is wrong with you Mercedes has always been faithful to their older styling, for the amount of regulation and styling trends they have to keep up with, they did a fantastic job.

rust

>All dem Mercs

taxis aren't uber. they're a dead meme like TV

The early 2000s was an extension of the "ricerboi pigfat" era that was the 90s.
See: NB Miata, 350z, R34, Supra (all cars that were still produced in the '00s), Golf GTI, Mustang of that era, Dodge Neon, etc

Pretty much this

This was the best design language imo. Unique and cool.

Stop clinging onto the past man. Those days are gone.

Mercedes needs a new Hypercar.

that's not even a real mercedes but a mclaren with a benz fascia/engine
it's like calling the Mclaren F1 a BMW

They did it to appeal to a younger audience.
Kinda ironic in my case since I just love the look of old mercs and I'm only 20 yo

Every car needs to be sporty, that way you get the cigar smoker and the vaper audience all in one shot.

When they started designing cars for rich chinks and muslims.

Also when they got rid of Bruno Sacco.

but everything is right

Slower than the second coming of Christ.
So badly equipped that it will make you grateful for having seats and windows.

I wanted to pull the trigger on a 190E with the 1.8 petrol. It had power nothing, no air conditioning and it was so slow I fell asleep trying to reach 10 km/h.

I know that an old Merc sounds romantic, but trying to DD one is hell.

Jesus fucking Mohamad... what are cucks

MB’s biggest issue at this point is QC control and not standing behind their products. In my experience, MBUSA is lagging behind AudiUSA and BMWUSA... oddly though BMW dealers seem to be the worst. Audi tops the dealer list though. Out of my 3 Euro cars, the Audi (07 S4) had the best build quality, followed by BMW (11 1M), then MB (11 C63).

The M156 headbolt issue was handled attrociously by MB.

W123 begs to differ

>Fell asleep trying to reach 10km/h
nice try fuckface, my old merc doesn't even record under ten, and that's in freedom units.
Then again, I'm part of the 400E 92 /comfy/ DD types, so ymmv.
>tfw could basically roll coal in a non-diesel before the car needed to get up to SMOG standards
