302 vs 305, which is better?

302 vs 305, which is better?

Uh, the bigger one obviously

Big engine = big brain

wow that sbc is fuck huge next to the sbf

Normally it seems to be the opposite though.

302 no question

305 is dogshit, 350 best sbc

The 305 is the most underrated Chevy V8 and can make comparable power to a 302 but it's weight holds it back. The 302 will pull ahead in the long run due to the top end being better. The small bore of the 305 is a big handicap since it can't run the nice 2.02/1.6 valve combo.

>350 best sbc

That's not a DZ302.

>302
>AKA torqueless wonder.

Who needs torque when you have revs? Hell even the 327 is nicer than the 350 when it comes to performance.

350 is just the most common and outlived both.

the boss 302 small block is the best small v8 ever made

get a 460 with BOSS Hemi heads of you need torque

351W is the best small block!

both are shit, get a far better engine..

terrible meme

As a Chevy guy, the 302.
305 A shit

The 305 is the best engine GM has ever made, and it's up there in terms of best engines of all time. Dead reliable, puts out sufficient power, and can be built to have even more power.

only if they're white lol

350z

Not a contest. Here's an actual contest though -
347 stroker vs 383 stroker

The only one here that knows anything about these engines

>inboard exhaust manifold
Fuck yeah

the 5.0 winsor was way less shitty. at least machine your valve cover surfaces, faggot chevy.

347 is smaller and lighter.
Few vehicles would benefit from the extra cubes considering that they both more than likely will have been built with nice heads/intake.
The engines are not compatible with accesorys, there's no justification to adapt one vehicle to the other block.
Car=347
Truck=383

Ford 302W is legendary. Check 305TPI is a turd.

342 is a 347 w/o the .030 overbore. I had one with an eagle rotating assembly, a stud girdle and Brodix heads. 380hp / 420ftlbs. Recommended.

That intake is sweat-together copper plumbing pipe, isn't it?

>power
Ooh yeah 400whp with a turbo setup when you can build an NA 350 to that level for $1500

That's a funny way to say 400 bored .030, which is just a 350 with more torque and a flatter curve

The 5.3

>Windsor
>not Clevo

How you gunna get to 7500rpm without those 4v heads?

>intake

>How you gunna get to 7500rpm without those 4v heads?

In order of importance:
What is a cam shaft?
What is Brodix, TFS, World Castings, Edlebrock?
What is port and gasket matching?
What is port honing?
What is is a 5-angle valve job?

These are not exotic items. They are engine building 101.

Good fucking god
