Because all his clumsy strikes, despite being physically powerful, have absolutely zero killing intent behind them, so he is able to subdue anyone and rendering them harmless without accruing any love.

By the very nature of Toriel, Asgore, and Flowey's immmortality, saving Asriel is a mater of inevitability. After the TP ending, Flowey has access to the human world, and plenty of people in the human world would willingly give their souls. Many of these people can be contacted and located through the internet, and Flowey's MO seems like it would fall seamlessly in line with one website in particular.

I don't think you or other people really think about what this means though. Combining with Chara left both consciousnesses active and even the six remained in some sense, hell knows how long after their death. Sure, Asriel could come back, but he'd get stuck with at least one random 'passenger' for the rest of his life.

Pretty sedate compared to its peak, trundling along with fancontent, but it's still going.

I kinda wish I was around when this game was all the rage.

I missed out on it too, but I think there are advantages to its current form too. And it may pick up again for a while once the PS4 version comes out and a few Sony Holdouts try it.

It was always my headcanon that he has a driverless car. For papyrus it was always the notion of having and being in a car that appealed to him, not so much the driving itself

I prefer the insane and yet impossibly safe driver, where every turn looks like Initial D crossed with Carmageddon, and yet nothing bad ever happens to the vehicle, though his passengers may need therapy afterwards.

I like to think that Papyrus is aware that driving is serious business, works hard at driving lessons, and ends up being a careful and conscientious driver

You could have both. Sans has encouraged him to use auto-drive most of the time and only drive for himself in an emergency, and then Frisk needs to get somewhere in a hurry, so Papyrus disables auto-drive and good times are had.
