Returning player here, i need some clarification on BAMs/Bosses. Am I to understand that they can no longer be stunned? I used shield bash and leash on some Ebon Tower? Boss and I wasn't stunning shit. Is that with all bosses in every dungeon? How do you deal with clone and add mechanics? Should i just use a different rotation without any stuns then?

Are world bams and bosses immune to stun as well?

can't stun bosses in instance unless its a part of the mech where you need to stun to stop certain mech. Bams and stuff in open world can be stuned. PRetty sure lancer rotation still use shield bash even if boss are imun to stun, its still part of the rotation

Alright I guess i need to find out when "mechanics" happen then in order to do well. I'm reading some changelogs right now and i guess they reworked the system to be more dps rather than the slower positioning system from earlier? Do people like this system? My berserker partner was dying constantly even though i always held aggro.

As a lancer should i focus more on dps? My muscle memory is to still attempt to stun during red glares of the enemy

As a tank your only job is to keep aggro and do the boss mechanic if any. DPS as a tank is only a bonus even tho many tryhard care about it but that can wait later when you know your class well enough.

I know my class plenty, I only care if the way the game is played changed from my experiences before 61-65

When did you play last time. I think you could never stun bosses in level 65 dungeons.
And it depends entirely on boss. I think world bosses in level 65 areas cannot be stunned. You can however stun level 65+ BAMs on Island of Dawn.

And yes, game is much faster now and you have to continuously dps. Harder endgame dungeons require 0.2 second accurate iframes or you get one-shot. It's so silly how slow mechanics on bosses like Meldita were, if you compare her to Dreadspire level19 Meldita.

Tera NA still has Chicago servers right? I'm sure I'll die a few times while I figure out the boss animations and the lag. I assume that regular dungeons and hard mode dungeons are the same other than damage and hp?

Yeah old bosses weren't very difficult, but it's not like the old Veeky Forums guild was very good either.

There is usually 1-2 new mechanics on hard mode bosses.

hmmm, like Bathysmal Rise 1st boss sometimes rotates around and tries kill all melee next to him. 2nd boss is same as normal I think. Last boss has different cage mechanics with random patterns to dodge; cutters leave marks on floor that do damage; can't dodge flushing water and healer must cleanse after it.
Also more HP on shield phase and boss hits much harder, especially back swipes and jump AOE. And since HM has no red area markers on boss attacks dps must watch boss and know when to dodge. NM has just dodge red area or take the damage since it doesn't really hurt you.

So with all the CH guilds dead or not accepting people, is there any reason to be on this server besides Erp

How is lancer in terms of soloing daily vgs? can they kill vg bams in a tolerable pace?

When I had a lancer I only did bam vgs together with someone else cause alone it was too slow.
I have no problems doing them on my warriors tho, even with the one that is in misery with tank rolls.
