Did the ETF decision happen already or something?

bitcoiners on suicide watch.. its over lads.. better buy a noose with your bitcoins

No just people trying to get ahead of "selling the news" would be my bet, their loss though. Even if the etf is rejected btc will dip and then come back up again

Jesus I was looking at my Preev tab (always open) and I was thinking "Wasn't the price like 1280?" go to bitstamp and boom that drop doe. It hit 1180, should've bought.

Thanks for the heads up. Almost triggered my Stop Limit

>Oh no!
>something highly volatile drops 4%!
>that's unprecedented!
>how could that happen?
>it tanked!

7%

Did you buy the dip?

I just pulled out the number from the graph in the OP, but my post also holds for 7% (or 10, …)

t. bitcoiner currently on suicide watch

That's why Bitcoin will never be a real currency.

That is not the reason at all lol

Nah, I'm a nocoiner, but thinking about adding a few $$ in that gamble.

>look at that baby, he can't even walk. That's why he will never be a real grown-up

Good I hope it drops more and ETH drops more too. I want to buy some dip.

wew lads so it's on discount before crash

i'm learning tacit knowledge about crypto (practical expirience), before using it for investing/saving money/bussiness tool/fuck central banks, but as far as I can see, it's utterly shitty
tried few wallets, it's far opposite from user friendly, to imagine typing an adress by hand gives me spooks, transaction times are slow and randomized and there no vaccine about it, you just enjoy the surprise times or even failed transaction, some wallets don't even allow me to make micropayments without even any notice about their unnegotiable min fees

well, I know I'm bitching about moving just a few cents for free/minimal fees and you can't actually do that outside

but well, it's mostly related to trade, non-instant transactions are a serious issue, I know bitgo can solve this without added costs, but well, the average newcomer is really surrounded by problems he didn't sign for and it relies on him to figure out, that's a cost, not value

I understand btc as gold 2.0, but holy shit, so many entry barriers

>so many entry barriers
If those entry barriers weren't there, it would be too late to make any real money.

>spooks

who the hell types an address by hand? its all copy paste

That's the good part. The moment someone puts a user friendly layer on top, your investment now will go to the moon.

>make coinbase account
>use credit card to buy BTC/ETH
>now have BTC/ETH
... Nigger what are you talking about?

These "entry barriers" will become second nature to normies in the future.

>>now have BTC/ETH
>... Nigger what are you talking about?
I'd assume getting these coins to your local wallet, instead of leaving them at an exchange, and about paying stuff with BTC without a middleman.

I'm just saying it's really that simple.

And yes, of course, move them to different wallets.

Let the sheep mentality set in, you only make money out of it.

Yeah i totally understand that, that's exactly why it push me back, as I see the big market cap of btc is the result of greedy bastards and not due to the popularization of freedom made in tech, the most popular bait is not it's a kick in the balls to fractionary reserve -source of most evil on earth- instead, that it's going to the moon, and I do like memes but ffs

not implying it is going to be frequent, but eventually will happen

hype train is also an entry barrier

first transaction, oh fuck 3 hours without notice
move to blockchain, oh fuck invisible fees don't let me get 12 cents back to coinbase wew

its just more chink shit. once theyre put back in their place the trend should continue, but until then high volatility.

Already is. Germany declared it private money to tax it.

>Babbies first dip

This.

The early January """crash""" was three-four times as bad, and less than two months later bitcoin was higher than ever before again.

Because it hit a bubble. It's hitting another one and will tank more.

A good buying opportunity for bitcoin is coming up soon.

Bubbles only happen in mature markets, what we're seeing is growth spurts.

Do newbies think that prices just go up and up and up forever?

with quantative easings? yes
against QEs? yes

you seem very short sighted

Meanwhile we're already nearly back to the daily high before that random price collapse...

They thought it would go up forever with Snap, too.

Fiatleak is like a Jap playing an arcade game right now.

how can I buy these coins? When should I start buying?

If you're going long it doesn't really matter unless you're putting in sever tens of thousands.

For a $ 10k investment, shit like today's dip is literally only a few hundred bucks of difference.

In a few years however, bitcoin could very will be worth several times what it is today.

Surely Bitcoin is dead this time! It's only $1225 now!

That's actually not bad.

Literally everyone predicted snap would spike and then tank, which is exactly what it did. Why do you lie on the Internet?

What about Ethereum?

i sure wish i knew how to buy bitcoins

Crypto is kind of a difficult world to enter. I just learned how to electrum wallet after four years and this is a pretty complex world to me. Only now after about three years do I sort of get it. And I'm an autistic wizard who's been fucking around since Prodigy,

I'm trying to get one of my doods into crypto now. He's a Southern chad and the tech is way over his head. These entry barriers this user is talking about really is a bitch for normies to over come.

Imagine a normie risking $100 on transactions fees or worrying about fucking up a BTC address. That shit is going to scare the fuck out of him. It was challenging for me to overcome initially.

Just the Winklevoss twins dumping their coins after getting a pretty good idea how the SEC will decide.

If you think about it, it's the perfect pump and dump. Kudos to them.

Ha, awesome. You're probably not wrong.

>nocoiner makes thread about how BTC is tanking
>price quickly bought up again
>nocoiner rendered an idiot that didn't bought the dip, AGAIN

...

Its completely fine. Its been rising too fast over the last couple of weeks anyway

If the ETF is fucked, how low are we thinking it will dip? I'm considering dumping half and then reinvesting at the dip but I don't want to do that unless its going to crash at least 50%.

I don't see it dropping below 1000 desu. If it does at all.

Curious, do you bitcucks use relative strength indicators on your charts?

850$

Yeah.

The thing that has the potential of killing BTC is the Chinese government. Everytime those faggots start getting commie towards BTC, bad stuff happens.

>the Chinese government

and potentially every other government.

BTC is primarily for drugs, money laundering and tax evasion.

I'm not saying bitcoin won't generally trend up for the forseeable future, I'm saying that the price oscillates.

>at the dip
You don't know what the dip will be, and also, you don't know if the ETF will or not pass, so you have to dump before the news, which means you may miss on massive gains, it is stupid, it's a gamble, so good luck.

If there is a dip, it may be instantly bought just like we saw.

Wrong. Notice how the chink gov is increasingly less effective in supressing the price.

>nocoiners in charge of not buying the dip AGAIN

unlike today's dip, people are shorting for the etf, so the result doesn't matter

due to a date that can mean a reasonable spike, it's been growing due to the expectation, so it's sightly over priced

because BTC etf is pretty relevant: it's about killing entry barriers for normie investors

if it fails, the dip isn't be like today

Notice how much you're a cuck to China

BTC ETF is a meme

>cuck to china
>OKcoin exchange cucked by the rest of exchanges lagging in price
Sorry, the protocol does not give a fuck about what X government has to say.

What protocol and what government are you talking about, the fact that you're observing the root cause of valuation doesn't insulate your tendency to use past performance as justification for swings, you don't need to apologize to me

>BTC ETF is a meme
I pretty much agree.
In the long run it won't make a damn difference, but in the short term it could cause some fluctuation.

Not an argument its already a real currency thus the dollar valuation.

Ethereum is a much better investment.

Bitcoins already rising again, why do nocoiners insist on making these threads at every little dip? It's been happening since /g

After seeing the bitcoin chart drop by a wopping 10$ i pulled all my 100 bitcoins out oft there. Rest of the coiners are BTF... Oh wait. It's going up again

How do you actually get into Ethereum?

So is BTC going to slowly go back to 800-500 like it did back in january 2014 and stagnate for another 2.5 years? or ... what?

You don't

Oh god, nobody knows.
It has never been this stable before at the all time high and huge news is coming in a few days.

Can you faggots stop crying at every couple of percent drops, it's normal in crypto world. You expect this shit to go straight to the moon with no dips.
>I'm just gonna buy BTC and 10x my money in a few month lmaoo
Fucking retards, you buy and forget.
Or don't buy, I don't care, just stop acting like 10 year olds.

Feeling good
Sold at 1170 before going above 1200, was expecting this noice drop to get in again

CYA under 1100

where's the guy from the other thread that was worrying about buying the dip again, and told him it's gonna dip hard on Sunday and we're gonna make 2-3x?

>sold at 1240

posted just before you :3

HELL YEAH MOTHERFUCKER!

probably not. it may dip to 1000 or so but China is in the game these days and they're not interested in selling for dollars.

I'm gonna have a beer just for you m8.

Buy BTC and trade it for ETH at poloniex. Or use coinbase/kraken.

>Feeling good
>Sold at 1170 before going above 1200, was expecting this noice drop to get in again
>CYA under 1100
What is your panic buy in price? People like this where the reason why we spiked in 2013. The thought they were all smart selling around the $170 mark (previous EOD ATH) and then had to buy in again at $300-500 when they started to panic.

Half a million a coin
Not kidding

>bitcoin is now lower than I bought in at

Time to DOUBLE DOWN

>buying that sweet sweet dip

No coiners literally never learn.

>Always wait for the dip, the dip dips more

CHYNAW wants its own state crypto that it can totally control and monitor

having bitcoin let anyone bypass it would be a non starter

they would start to target it with electronic warfare, the current "inspections" are a crackdown on people fleeing china.

What part of "buy the rumor. sell the news" didn't you bluepilled slaves get?

Winners = coinbase, kraken, poloniex, okcoin, btc china.......
Losers = traders

Never gonna learn are you slaves?

These exchanges are raping you like the heist from Office Space.

Damn you are stupid.

Still can't put it together can you?

and? Is it your money?

no.

Fuck off.

Winners = government, etrade, scottrade, trade king, interactive brokers
Losers = traders

Never gonna learn are you slaves?

These brokers are raping you like Jordan from Wold of Wallstreet.

Damn you are stupid.

Still can't put it together can you?

bound for a pull back, still a bull market.

>mfw long term holder adding to my stash by shorting when retards sell

kek I win either way

Been hovering around the 1130-1180 mark for a while now think it'll drop any lower or are will we just flop around this margin till news comes of the ETF?

First time in ages ive seen hold spelled that way.

Every time someone spells it the faggot way it instantly discredits them their opinion is worth shit.

The ones who intentionally misspell hold are the same faggot retards who panic sell and panic buy

Fag
