Reminder

Gotta say, I like the idea of different-sized items and ways to rearrange them to fit more things.

Are there any left handed heroes please this is important to me

Leper. He swings with his left hand.

Then again I think that's why he misses a lot.

Yep, i liked the inventory tetris in Diablo 2

Anyone knows something about the story of Reynuald and Dismas? I know that Dismas is death because you can find the artifact of the head. But what about Reynauld?

What's a good team to take along to murder the Baron?

Behold, true Divine Comfy.

...

user, are you cheating again?

Although I haven't used it myself, I've heard good things about Riposte parties.

Of course not.

...

...

Tons of bleeds (at least one jolly flagman) work well as an alternative too.

>-15 stress
>targets everyone
>huge heal over time neutering DoTs
are you

What gave you that impression?

Could you try making a semi-balanced one? Just to see if it works?

Dont remember what team i used to kill the baron. The only that i remember was the jester. His skill to bleed two target is a nice strategy to open eggs.

I've cleared the entire courtyard + Baron in one fell swoop with Flagellant/Crusader/Occultist/HM. My stress was low at all times thanks to the Crusader and HM, while still dishing out fucktons of damage. I didn't have any troubles getting through.

Got any suggestions? I'm not really sure how to balance something like that, especially on an already established class.

Just replace the direct healing entirely with an equivalent amount of DoT healing. Maybe slightly more to counter the fact that it doesn't benefit from +healing skills trinkets.

drop the stress reduction and the instant heal

drop or lower the healing received buff

Well Com\fort generally heals for 7 with trinkets, do you want it to heal for, say, 8 every turn? Or 8 over 3 turns?

First time met Fanatic. Heard a lot of complains about him, but my attempt to kill him worked quite well despite 2 death doors.
Actually that son of a bitch resisted a couple of bleed including the high bleed from Flag that he can uses with 50% HP. Could kill him faster and without HWM's dd.

Maybe I was just a bit lucky there but Fanatic looked like slightly more annoying Hag.

Well yeah, that was just me fucking around with other buffs and effects for fun.

champion fanatic's pyre would instantly put heroes on deaths door on release due to a bug

The latter.

If you want to heal for a prime number, you could try applying a 1*3 HoT AND a 1*2 HoT at the same time, which would heal 2 for the first 2 rounds then 1 on the last, for 5 health.

So 8 health would be, say, a 2*3 and a 1*2, making 3+3+2.

Why are bloodlusting characters so retarded

I WILL TASTE YOU AND NOTHING WILL STOP ME

THE BLOOD I MUST HAVE THE BLOOD
*SKIPS TURN*

But that line doesn't trigger a pass.

any simple draw requests?

Hellion looming over the Highwayman pressed against the wall.

Or Hellion and friends drinking and having fun, or the Plague Doctor mixing some powders for bombs.

>any simple draw requests?

Fate party in DD

its happened twice for me

GR hanged at camp with graves for companions

Go away Jeanne. Your anime sucks

But why

what is a fate party

When should I dare the courtyard for the first time? Is it really >short >apprentice or is that just a lure to fuck over unsuspecting players?

Yes

Just go in, don't spoil the surprise for yourself.

hopeless affliction probably

How are champ dungeons fair holy fuck 4 battles in and my team is already about to die.

>champion dungeon
>using level 4 weapons, armor, and probably skills

Well if you're going to go in undergeared and with shit trinkets you should expect to have a hard time.

I-I don't have enough money to upgrade their gear and abilities.

Then maybe you shouldn't run champion dungeons until you're ready.

Then go get some money

Tell your Auntie you need some cash

But I only have lvl 5 and 6 left on my rooster

Is her model still a Big Girl?

for you

So user, at what point do you decide to invest into your pawns instead of dismissing them?

I'm at week 20 and starting to notice I spend about as much on training the needed skills on new shits to put a decent team together as it would cost to put my C-team into the sanitarium for a couple weeks to get rid of their quirks.

I thought it was because his flesh is rotting and he's partially blind.

if they got good quirks they stay

shitty quirks, stress and low income they go home

I like the buffs, but its annoying when a Vestal jumps out of position to smack the enemy when I've got someone on Deaths Door.

It feels like I'd be better off waiting for them to get to Wasting to give them blood just so I don't have to deal with the stupidity of Bloodlust.

Alternative to that, what's a good strategy to kill Viscount?

I was thinking of Arbalest (5) + HM (6) + HM (6) + Hellion (6)

I aim to mark him with Arby, do twice Hound's Rush buffed by Dog Treat and Blood, and use Hellion's if it bleeds. Basically just rush him fast. I'll equip all champs with dmg buffing trinkets and some bleed chance and whatever I have at hand.

I think that those heads are the "collected" souls that Collector killed. Collector spawns HWM, Vestal, and MaA and their heads confer appropriate buffs (dmg for HWM, healing for Vestal, prot for MaA). I don't know why HWM is called Dismas tho.

Sounds like a strong team, but I NEVER use the Crusader. I find him boring, and get annoyed when he gets pulled out of order. Is his Stress heal worth the aggravation? I'm more partial to sticking a hellion in first row, or having Flag in first with BH in second.

ye, the entry mission is easy, it's the following missions that get hard

You don't really have to worry about him being out of position, you can just lance your way back to pos. 2. He's mainly there to be a stunbot and a stress healer who also can keep people off of Death's Door. Overall a very good character to bring on long missions. Would definitely recommend.

What class are you always torn on for movesets? I can never make up my mind what I want to run on a MaA, all of his moves are great for different fights.

The eyepatch thingy and cloak aren't shitty trinkets.

Crush, Bellow, Rampart and Guard are a solid moveset. Bellow is mostly looked over because
>debuff
But it's actually incredibly useful in round 1, you'll almost guarantee yourself that all your heroes will go before all of the opponent, which is amazing.

Are situational quirks (Slayer/Hater, Warrior of light/lurker and similar) worth locking? I always prefer to lock general ones

>Camouflage cloak
>Cleansing eyepatch
>shit

Eldrich Slayer/Hater are fairly good, the others not so. Warrior of Light is amazing if you plan on doing light runs, because it's similar to Quick Reflexes, which is good.

I always take warrior of light but I go full light 99% of the time.

Eldritch hater/slayer/whatever is good if you intend on taking them to the darkest dungeon. Beast is good if you intend to take them to DD3, and Human is good if you intend to take them to DD1.

It's also good if it's on a hero that already gets a bonus (human for BH, eldritch for OCC, unholy for vestal/crusader, beast for HM)

cove is 90% elritch

weald and warrens have a bunch of humans, bandits and cultists appear everywhere and are also human

final dungeon is mostly eldritch and beast

Yea that's what I run in general but riposte is fantastic for a lot of fights and even dodge is incredibly useful early on.

I don't see the point of doing low light runs, especially with cartographer camp being a thing.

Nah, he fixed it. Her pics on her page got updated to show it

More inventory space, challenge runs, specific trinket builds, etc.

Send the losers that just arrived in the wagon out on some suicide gold farm. Treat them like the gooks they are!

2 more spaces you will get anyway after you run out of torches? I mean, challenge runs sure, but I don't see enough value to justify the extra difficulty.

>make map of every curio
>clean out dungeon on high light
>activate all that shit in the dark, using the map to maximize profit and inventory space
Do people hate money or what?

Been playing around with it and, honestly, it's really powerful. I noticed it's especially powerful on a profane vestal, probably because the lack of needing +healing to get the full effect. All she had to do was cast Comfort once and proceed to bash heads in and everyone was at full hp; god forbid I cast it twice then nothing could get through that healing. Pretty much the same applied to a normal healbot vestal. With a dot heal she could just spend her time stun/judgement spam since she didn't need +heal trinkets, and the vestal has surprising good damage with the right trinkets.

The initial healing, at 8 over 3 turns, was stupidly overpowered. Nerfing it to 5 helped a little but the strength of the skill was still very noticeable. Obviously this is basing everything on the Vestal and her skill set, a class specifically revolved around dot healing might not have the damage of the Vestal and may be able to pull the playstyle off, albeit with a weaker dot heal. Either that or no aoe dot heal.

>needing money
>when the bank exists
>that becomes self sustaining after you've reached about 100k

If there was a DD movie or TV series, who would play each character?

...

With the bank how it is and how buffed aunties are, I'm not sure you really need to worry about money much anymore.

And if you want to mess around with it yourself, add these to the vestal.info file and the flagellant.effects file, and don't forget to use the localization batch file.

True, I wish more games had it.

>Have 3 food
>Hunger check
>Entire party has to starve and get stressed

Psst!

Situational quirks function best on situational heroes. At first you won't know their roles, but it will become clearer as time goes on what they're strong against and what areas they are strong in, in which case you can specialise them to be good at that.

- Man Slayer and Weald Tactician is great on Bounty Hunter because he is already an anti-human class. This also applies to other classes:
Ruins + Unholy are good on Vestal and Crusader.
Warrens + Beast are good on Houndmaster
Cove + Eldritch are good on Occultist

Eldritch Slayer/Hater is somewhat of an exception: it works great on most heroes the majority of the time, since most of the minibosses are Eldritch, the Cove is mostly Eldritch, the Weald has lots of Eldritch, there are multiple eldritch bosses, and most importantly the Darkest Dungeon is full of them. That said the Crimson Court has very few Eldritch enemies, so it has basically moved down a tier in usefulness.

- Light Bonus quirks work great on Vestal and Crusader because they can produce Torchlight with their quirks and make Sun parties even stronger.
- Buffs that activate below 50% health are useful on Flagellant
- Buffs that activate in darkness are good on Hellions and Occultists and will make Moon parties stronger.

And then there's more "meta" stuff outside that. Plague Doctors are good in the Cove so a PD with Cove quirks would make your advantage even stronger, Leper combos well with religious parties so Unholy Slayer or Light quirks will make him a better fit for Sun parties.

The downside of course being that you can't just throw any party with generic good quirks and throw them at any dungeon, you'll have to pick accordingly - but then you end in up situations where you can roll into the Weald and your BH has quirks that tip his damage into the one-shot territory, giving you a much easier time.

It would be rude to make someone starve while everyone else eats.

And to update, I killed Viscount.

Instead of Arby I took Vestal, just because my Arby (4) whom I intended to grind into 5 died on a Veteran quest with 3 other 6 level champs. Go figure.

Two Bloodlusted + Torchlight + Dog Treat HM with no damaging trinkets dealt 60 dmg, while Hellion did 20. He died in 2 turns, despite managing to get my favourite Hellion to Death's Door and his immense healing. I honestly expected more, but I kinda was overleveled.

How do you lose 3 level 6 champs on a veteran quest?

Is there a way to edit a hero's quirks? I want to try out meme builds but I do not want to wait until I get the right quirks

Does anybody have a gif or webm of the Rapturous Cultist animation swaying back and forth

it's such a good fucking animation

I feel like he never gets to use the riposte. Even marked he gets ignored constantly. I can use two turns to give him Riposte and to Guard someone squishier with a better chance to kick it off, but then I don't get to bellow, and I feel like, somehow, I STILL don't get as many riposte's as I should! Seriously, RNG goes out of its way to ignore my MaA when he's got Riposte on.

HWM on the other hand, Riposte=beast mode.

Hey so sometimes when I put together a team they get a little nickname. I had Flag, HoundMaster and some others(can't recall at the moment) and they got Blood for the Blood God! Which is pretty badass even if I wasn't a Warhammer fan, but I have a question. Do those little team names do or mean anything? Is there a bonus for them? Are they specific teams only, or do the kick in when you combo two or three specific classes?

...which is why the last item you save in your inventory is a stack torches.

...

>cove is 90% eldritch
Fuck I wish! Now its more like 40%, with 10% bandits/cults and 50% bug fucks! Ugh, they need to add in some short Courtyard missions that are there just to lower the Infestation level.

There's no bonus unfortunately, though if something isn't an obvious joke or reference, it might also be a hint that your team is good at something.

For example Arbalest - Occultist - Houndmaster - Bounty Hunter is called "Marked for Death", just so happens it's the strongest Mark line-up in the game.

Certain religious combinations will create "The Wall" indicating you should capitalise on how your team is tanky, and so on.

It's mostly flavour but it will also indicate to new players how to use their heroes.

Maybe I was unclear, but I lost only Arby.

She got Critted which put her on Death's Door, and Bled. Problem was that she was up next, and Bleed automatically killed her.

Really, it was just bad luck.
