d/b+2 is good but slow, ALB+d2 can catch people by surprise and d+1 and d+2~1 are decent duck low pokes that you can duck cancel. Your best lows are going to come from super close range where you can do d/b+3,2 for a knockdown and follow it up with an ALB d+2 or where you can throw them out from peekaboo stance (PAB d+1) in combination with fast highs, mids and a throw that needs a 1+2 break. You're not going to get any huge combos off of his lows though. He only needs a few to keep people on their toes. Steve's big damage comes from his CH tools and as soon as people stop hitting buttons when you have the frame advantage and you're hitting b+1 (ie. as soon as you get into green ranks) you're going to have to work for those counterhits.

Yeah for sure. Don't be afraid of playing King on pad or think you have to claw and just do really good. Macros make him a ton easier, though there's no real cure for his wavedashing.

There used to be a lot of controversy around this subject but these days, button binding is generally considered okay at just about every tourney

Best King pad bindings are

L1 = 1+3
R1 = 2+4
R2 = 1+2
L2 = 3+4

It makes RDC piss easy so you can just go L1, L2, R1, R2, R2+L2. You're not going to use 1+4 or 2+3 that often with king

Technically speaking yeah, but she is pretty weak if you ever level up high enough. That's the reason though. You have to rely on fundamentals the higher you go with her.
But she has good strings and gimimicks to also rely on against new players. (And damage)

Son, which other characters have a 14 frame launcher that's +5 on block, and give me a 50/50 mixup just by executing wavedashes

i can kbd in practice and lobby easily but in game i always fuck it up because i'm busy trying to focus on what they are doing.

if people chose their mains based on results everyone would play dragunov and jack instead of just most people

Mishima's are hard and most characters can get twice as much for half the work but the better you get at Mishima's the better player you'll become.

It's not like mishimas are complete garbage if you can't electric consistently. Wavedash mixups are enough to carry you to light greens because most people can't deal with that shit.

14 is such an irrelevant number. Nothing needs to be punishes in those exacr frames.
It's usually like 10,11,15 etc.
