The clan chat is called "osg", which stands for "old school general". Noone calls this general /rs07g/ but newfags pretending to be oldfags, crying for the old days of "caravan hq", "rs07 general" or even "os general" just to fit in.
As the userbased evolved and changed its demographics, so did the thread, the community of osrs and finally the game itself.

Most people agreed to call this came "old school runescape" instead of "2007scape" because of new updates that were never part of Runescape back then in 2007. This runescape is all about the "old school" feeling, hence the name "old school general" or "osg" for this thread.
