You know your opponent's entire deck the moment he plays his first card, user. Gaunter also only targets units so spells and weather aren't a concern. If you can't successfully Gaunter 90% of the time you're bad at videogames.

I've been having a lot of success with Eredin, since I lack gold/silvers for any half-decent deck that's not Foltest.

I'm not that new to the game.

caretaker, ilmerith, caranthir, ge'els are the 4 golds that got me to 4k mmr with eredin

If by niche you mean is only played in every monster deck and no non-monster decks, you're right.

Unfortunately the jazz music just got too contemplative because I was thinking about how Trissbutt was the first moviecard legendary I pulled and how I played it in monster decks when everyone said it was a shit card, but now that it's the hot and happening thing I'm too much of a hipster to play it any more. My only consolation is that it's not a particularly good moviecard so I don't miss it much.

Thus far I would rate my moviecard golds thus:
Vilgefortz, his cape is absolute trash but it's one of the best moviecards and with a good sound. Just don't look at his cape. Don't you fucking do it.
Saskia, slow motion bullshit moviecard but lots of good womanly grunting and the swirly fire is fine. S'alright.
Trissbutt, boring sound and pretty dull animation. Nothing really wrong with it, just kidna think the regular art's fine.
Letho, one of the worst moviecards in general and an absolute shitshow for a gold. Bad animation, shit modeling (Look at his fucking clown shoes, look at his completely 2D knife that goes invisible when the blade turns toward you) and the stupid fast running animation and sounds at the start. Deeply offensive card.

Yeah, those are good ones. I've been waffling a bit on what I want to spend my moviecard powder on after I upgraded Vilgefortz. He's the only one where I felt like it dramatically improves the card even though there are others I like. Almost thinking I may movie some bronzes and silvers I like more than the golds. I like playing queensguard fairly often so they're tempting, and NR is still my favorite faction even though I don't really like where they're at right now so I could make a movie waifu-in-peril with Margarita. And Dethmold's a pretty excellent one. Thaler's kinda tempting too just because I've always liked him. Hoping we get a Thaler player portrait.

Still feel kinda dirty playing NR, but let me tell you it still feels a lot cleaner than playing weather control Dagon which is what I used to climb.

On a somewhat related note, what border goes best with Dandelion portrait? I'm torn between the red wooden one and the silver/knight one. The purple plume works well with his hat but the red wooden one seems to work better for him in general.

Do moviecards only drop of one single art of cards with alternate art? Because I've gotten like 5 moviecards of the same queensguard and 2 of the same temerian infantry.

Well if you hate squirrels you could definitely skip her. It's not even like she's a fun card, she's just bog standard for every deck.

Of the other two Rainfarn's a little bit more interesting. Succ's more fun but can more easily backfire and is less vital without giant Morkvargs running around, and Rainfarn sounds like he's getting a buff in the next patch.

There's another bug where if you transmute a Wild Hunt Rider, it doesn't actually transmute the one you picked. Since all three of them have the same card name, the game just picks one to transmute, so you can't reliably transmute all of your Riders. Pretty sure the same is true for all the trios that have the same name.

Why even complicate matters? Just play Dykstra for a casual 37 point draw that requires no set up whatsoever (just dandelion, which is part of a normal NR package nowadays)
