Is this car going to be a classic someday?
Is this car going to be a classic someday?
in 2050
When there are maybe 10 still running and they are exclusively owned by wealthy people who own a team of mechanics because they are the only ones with money to keep a piece of shit like this running
If You really think any of the window regulators or door latches or any other computer controlled garbage will still be working properly on this car in even 7 years time you must be a 6 year old.
And thats if it doesnt catch on fire first.
Looks like every other bmw since 2006
I don't think any car from today will be a classic in the future. They just lack the timelessness older cars had because of more simple designs. Cars today just have too many curves and details and restraints from regulations.
There will be no classic euro cars in the future because they pioneered and perfected the art of creating an overpriced disposable car.
Other car manufacturers are trying to do the same thing nowadays but BMW and volkswagen are light years ahead of everyone else at making throw away garbage.
So a gt86 for example might still get a fleeting chance at becomming a future classic, but certainly no BMW after 2006 will ever be a classic car.
What car is that in the OP?
This. The last "future classic" BMWs are the E46/39, and even those are pushing it. There's just nothing unique about anything that came afterwards. Nevermind that maintaining these newer cars would be just about impossible since they're essentially designed with planned obsolescence in mind, similar to most electronics.
Some kind of BMW produced after 2006
Why would it be?
Because its the ultimate fucking best god damn driving machine faggot and it cost over 100,000 dollars. How could it not be a fucking classic ?!? Ask a bmw sales guy at the dealership is its gonna be a classic , i would love to hear his answer to that.
all these fags itt not realizing that today's cars will be the last generation powered by ICEs
giving them a huge boost in historical significance and desirability
>significance and desirability
To bad no durability.
>implying that wouldn't make the well maintained examples even more desirable
So just because a window regulator doesn't work you dispose of the car? wew
Omg you live in a forza desk racer fantasy world.
You would be amazed and greatly disappointed with the real world outside of your moms basement, neet faggot.
>completely missing the point of the argument
>still getting this mad because you can't afford a current generation car
The current direction our ride is going shows that cars of the future will look utterly horrible, so horrible that anything from this decade will look beautiful in comparison and the ride never ends.
>still missing thr point of actual real life. A bmw doesnt last. They arent meant to. If you think they are gonna last to the year 2050 well then youre probably gonna Darwin yourself to death 30 years before you ever get to be proven wrong.
>thr point of actual real life
>out of millions of cars not a single one will survive 30 years
Reeeiiiiiight......
Make it stop
I WANT TO GET OFF MR BONES WILD RIDE
Blocks your path.
This is the last classic.
>compact car
>3300 lbs
And it looks exactly like any modern BMW, a bloated mess of lines and crevices, like someone took an air pump to the thing, but to avoid making it look like a balloon, they also stuck on some sharp ridges. Also good luck doing literally any work on the thing, or finding parts in 10 years.
This is the last classic.
Haha you wish forza boi.
Is pic actually a good car, classic or not?
>last of the naturally aspirated M cars
>glorious high revving v8
>last of the two door M3s
>naming convention has gone full retard since
Probably not anytime soon but the e92 will be a high tax classic one day assuming they all don't explode.
I want this NOW. How much they goin for?
Prefer the 'small' 1M tho
>Mitsubishi brings EVO name back as an electric crossover
I mean they told they were gonna do it but it is still nightmare fuel.
higher mileage 08s are in the low 20s I think. a clean later model year with a proper manual are still in the 30s
In a few years, a window regulator would cost more than the car
