MAGIC SPELUNK: Final Layer

No pre-layer area. Oh well!
Fairly short and simple layer with a twist: it has a secret path leading to the boos door without even pulling the lever. We pulled the lever just out of spite.
BOSS: HMPH. I was kinda afraid, but he went down much easier than the bloodletting beasts.

This took much, much longer than a normal spelunk, but it was HUGE fun. This is easily the most fun I've had with a spelunk in a long while. Not only is it more difficult, but also the game itself becomes completely different when you can't use weapons at all, and it feels very fresh.

If anyone's contemplating whether or not to try a tools only spelunk: DO IT. You gotta try it at least once.

Thanks bud, I like your getup too! That was definitely a fun way to spelunk, it offered a unique challenge. It was a neat chalice too, I liked all of the BPSs. I think I'll keep it open for a bit.

This was definitely the most BPS's I've ever seen in one dungeon - one or two on each layer plus the layer two boss.

It's a little more nuanced than crippling highschool nihilism. You have to remember Lovecraft himself, who took great pride in his lineage and heritage as New England Anglo Saxon aristocracy. He was also a massive science nerd who loved reading up about and using the latest discoveries in his work. While there is a great deal of 'the veil was torn asunder from my eyes and I saw nameless horrors beyond man's ken', at the same time, keep in mind that part 'and we were not meant to voyage far'. That doesn't mean what we do is meaningless, because Lovecraft did not believe that, it's just what we do is what we do. Wow, I'm not ready for Yahar'gul yet. Everything kills me in two hits. I can't even reliably leave the lantern room without dying. Fuck. The rest of the game so far (2nd character) has been really easy.

I really enjoy using the parasite

Its a little game of misery where you start a root chalice as normal but if you die at any point, you delete the chalice and start a new one until you make it to the end. If that's not enough, you also make it that restocking isn't allowed or add other little rules to ruin your day.

Still memey at least on my end. My model covered yours so the only things i could see were flames and an explosion
