I'm looking at 2008-2010 9-3 Aero XWDs and Turbo Xs and for the money they seem like very practical, comfortable, luxurious and capable cars that still have a manual
But GMs record at the time was spotty and Saab is a dead brand
Can I trust this car to get me to work, camping, skiing and all in time.
I'm looking at several with good service histories between 50 and 75k
E euro parts seem to have some basics What in particular is hard to get that's specific to the 9-3? Aren't both available powettrains GM based and thusly widely available parts wise in the US?
Oliver Perry
Wow that looks good. Was this in production?
William Taylor
Really not that bad. My buddy has an 06 9-3 and the only thing that's annoying is the prehistoric media screen and all the paint has rubbed off every commonly used button so you have to remember what they do.
John Jenkins
They're pretty reliable if you look after them. Only bad thing is the shitty interior plastics. They are comfy, and you get a lot of car for your money. I also get a lot of compliments for it. I'm sure you can find a place that stocks parts; they're just not cheap.
Logan Butler
Yes, there was a sedan version and a wagon Yes OP, they are awesome DDs and it doesn't matter if you pick the 2.0T or the 2.8V6, they're good cars Also consider a 9-5
Jeremiah Bailey
Not true, late run ones primarily use parts from the GM bin, they are just given different numbers you have to cross reference.
I guess. I'm a eurofag and parts are rare a sfuck over here, albeit most people drive 900s and shit
Blake James
Ive got an 05 9-5 aero and the thing is pretty fuckin solid. It's sitting at around 154k and needs a new clutch but other than that I love it. fun to drive and as says lots of compliments.
Parts can be rough to find but I dont mind that much because I like having the car
Julian Anderson
Still a prettier car than the majority of expensive sports cars today ten years later. The AWD 9-3 Aero is one if not THE best car for your money if you value comfort and performance at low tax cost.
Jayden Walker
Saabs are really common DDs where I am for some reason and there are a decent number of specialists for them. It probably makes less sense to have one in the US though.
Mason Wilson
Why's that? That later models like what OP posted sold well here, parts can be found easily, and you can take a Saab to a GM dealer or someone who's worked on them because of the engines being simple as fuck to work on
Carter Powell
GM fucked the quality of Saab almost as hard as Ford did to Jaguar.
Logan Jones
Is $10000 too much for an '10 Aero XWD?
Leo Thomas
>buying cars from a dead manufacturer.
James Bailey
What's the mileage? Is it sedan or wagon?
Jonathan Powell
Sedan, 71k miles
Angel Gutierrez
Manual?
Jace Gutierrez
what do they offer over a v6 accord? you don't need meme wheel drive.
Christopher Morgan
>didn't read the thread Practically the entire thing is a GM parts bin mashup
Christopher Powell
>what do they offer over a V6 Accord A GM High Feature 2.8 liter turbocharged 60° V6 that makes 285 hp and 280lbft of torque On tune and exhaust alone you can see over 300whp Also it gives you a good turbo platform if you want to get serious about tuning it, their AWD system is pretty damn nice
Samuel Turner
>tuning grow up, boyracer
Jackson Russell
You don't need that anymore than chad needs his lifted bro truck
Elijah Perry
>need And you can fuck right off
Jayden Wood
It's why I bought a Saab, to stay a tunerfag w/o the stigma
Hunter Jenkins
you're just as much of a faggot as you would be in a tuned subaru or vw.
Ian Jones
Nah brah, actual fags tune Subarus and VWs
Aaron Garcia
If you are from europe and dont know where to find parts its just you being retarded, you can find legit anythiung im Maptun/RBM/PFS
