What's the fugging catch there's no way a good M3 costs that little
It has mechanical problems
E36 soft top.
Theres your catch dude
No it doesn't
Yea I know it's not as good but M3s are like 15k a soft top wouldn't lower it that much
>no mechanical issues
either this is a lie or it's a fake/scam advertisement
given that white fiberglass hood and the smattering of shitty aftermarket, that POS will fall apart during the testdrive
>no mechinacal issues....yet
Ask the seller if he agrees to have it checked out by a local specialist or dealer.
>No it doesn't
says who?
Guys he obviously took care of it, look at all the aftermarket. I'd get a PPI anyways
Is 216k too high?
>aftermarket
>took care of it
Those two are almost mutually exclusive.
You don't need that car anymore than Chad needs his lifted truck
>Guys he obviously took care of it
I think you might be delusional
either you really want this car or you are extremely optimistic when it comes to how people take care of their cars
also it is not very likely that this is a one or two owner car
I just kelley blue book'd it using the exact info the seller gave and the range is 3.5k-6k, good condition hovers at around 4.5k. It's very possible that he is entirely going off that. People are stupid.
Is it possible that this is just an M3 clone? Once he gives me the VIN I'll know
did you include the unpainted shitty hood and the "cheaper-than-oem" replacement wear parts?
how about the sub-tirerack-special wheels or the "custom exhaust"
everything about that craigslist listing sends up red flags
lets not say it makes the car worthless or overpriced, just likely that the car will cost more than you might expect
it has 216k on the clock (hopefully km not miles)
ideal would be 90k kilome MAXIMUM
on a bmw 40k kilometres maximum.
on a normal car 100,000km is equivalent to being 80 years old
that BMW will probably land the op in his mechanic's garage once a month.
As long as it's mechanically sound I can live with that stuff. It's a $4k M3.
>40k km max on a bmw
You're a fucking retard
I used to work in a BMW dealership and we only used to stock cars with less than 40,000 miles. 60,000 would be only if we found one exceptional car that was rare.
In Australia cars hit their first major depreciation at 40,000 miles then hit the next big one at 60,000. After 60,000 miles they won't be held by most dealerships no matter how good they are. They end up places like the Car Deal Warehouse from then on.
>As long as it's mechanically sound I can live with that stuff.
that's what I'm saying
IT"S NOT
at minimum the;
brakes
exhaust
ECU/electronics
fuel injectors
suspension
and wheels
have all been fucked with, likely more than once, in the past by who knows who and with dubious experience
Well good thing I don't live in Australia
You're probably right, if there's no maintenance history I'll walk
OP instead of listening to literally everyone telling you not to get a 4k M3, get it and report back in 2 months with the damage to your pocket.
do not get BLACKED. like i said before

its just an expired car
You're so fucking wrong, look at the Veeky Forums sticky
nah, it's in florida
so it's 216k miles
or ~350,000km
if it was well maintained and retained its original parts I would be inclined to agree with you
however it is clear or at least at an extremely high probability the car has been in a front end collision at some point and has been repaired and maintained on a budget for the majority of its life
i know car dealers. they wouldnt dare touch a car with 100,000 km.
100,000km is equivalent to being an 80 year old man
-------in the case of this BMW, he is selling it at a low price because it is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY past its expiry date. on a BMW that is 60,000km or less
Dumbass
>>no mechanical issues
It looks like a lot of the body parts (silver) have been replaced with white parts as if it'd been crashed.
I say obviously take it to a mechanic for a pre purchase inspection to make sure it isn't a flood car or has a bent frame or some shit and get the vin checked to make sure it wasn't reported crashed or stolen.
>100,000km is equivalent to being an 80 year old man
My 2014 330i leasemobile already has 100k km on the clock (I drive long distances for work) and I didn't have one single problem with it yet. So you're telling me this thing is completely worthless as soon as my 6 year lease is over, and the lease company is just gonna throw it in the shredder?
you're replying to obvious bait
>no mechanical issues
kek probably put fuck heavy oil in it to stop the noises.
Its a E36 vert, of course it costs that much, its fucking undesirable.
>15k a soft top wouldn't lower it that much
So who made you a BMW used car expert?
That's a pretty obvious statement bud. Plus I've moved on from this shit car
It's a BMW that's been driven by niggers for 200,000+ miles. I know E36s aren't the most unreliable, but it's probably been shit on and not given preventative maintenance. Something will break and then you'll have to put a lot more money in.
Vert E36 M3s are much much cheaper than the coupes or sedans simply because they're undesirable
That being said I bought an E36 M3 sedan 5 years ago for $5k with 116k miles
Only real issue I had was a drive belt that blew up on me, but that's 100% my fault. And making it pass smog in California was a bit of a pain every other year.
Mine lasted til about 174k when I wrecked it by being a retard
Personally I'd never buy a vert but you do you dude
