Nearly 20 seconds after impact, I finally see something fall out of the sky coming to a rest in the middle of the road. That bird had 20 seconds of fucking airtime after death.

It might just be "a cat," but I can't help but feel bad if I kill an animal that could have been someone's pet.

I've had outdoor cats before, I know that feel of trying every trick in the book to get them to come home and they never do. Shits depressing. Shake treats, put catnip on your doorstep, call for them.
